[history]
Attorney General Bill Lockyer plans to ask the California Supreme Court on Friday whether San Francisco's approval of same-sex marriages violates state law.
Lockyer's announcement Monday came after San Francisco filed a constitutional challenge of California's prohibitions on same-sex marriages.

It's simple. The law says no gay marriage. End of discussion, but we all now harmful the activist judges are. Eventually, it'll end up in the U.S. Supreme Court. The place it shouldn't be to begin with. It's frustrating.

When the elected and appointed officials WILL NOT UPHOLD LAW AND ORDER, it is time that the people take over.
Now is not the time to get rid of guns, just look what is happening to us, "we the people".

honestly, they have 3400 already...with the courts the way they are, this will only stop a) when all the gay couples in the state are already married, and b) when we have been overwhelmed with the 25 million guest workers in from Mexico....

Someone at Live Journal (livejournal.com) came to my own personal diary/journal to tell me that I'm "one of the most hateful people on LJ"!!! I just laughed at her.
I have only been posting these colorful bars that others at LJ have been making to show they are FOR straight marriage. Ok, and I've been venting too, I mean I live in San Francisco!
PS, smithee, where have you been??? I hope you're ok, we haven't seen you on these fighting threads! You and I live in ground zero for the gay marriage fight.

REPORT on what I saw on the way home from work today at 4:15 pm.
Signs in front of SF City Hall only. I couldn't read them, I was on the bus. It seemed the Phelps people were across the street near the steps of CH, and there were these coordinated yellow signs, and white signs with dark blue lettering.
No people in line though.

"Mayor Newsom is upholding the state Constitution, which explicitly outlaws discrimination of any kind"Do these people really believe this stuff? Where does the constitiution "explicitly" outlaw discrimination of any kind? Are CCW permits available to all, or just the elite?

I wish more people would talk about the significance of marriage in creating not just a union of individuals, which will at best last a lifetime, but rather a family, which can last indefinitely--even after the progenitors are long dead.
While not all family ties are by blood, by far the strongest are those that are either biological or are regarded as being such. If a man and woman adopt a child, they can announce themselves as being the child's mother and father; biological or not, it makes no difference. But if two men adopt a child and try to introduce themselves as either each being a father, or as one being a mother and the other the father, it's won't take an Einstein to realize something doesn't compute.

Do these people really believe this stuff?Homosexuality is not a race.
Homosexuality is not a gender.
homosexuality is a chosen sex fetish.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it say the entire country MUST demoralize itself into perversion simply to accommodate those few who choose to engage in it.

Heterosexual marriage ensures the survival of the species.
With both male and female parents creating offspring, the species lives on.
With both male and female role models (i.e., examples), the children grow to learn their biological function in life, and will also be able to adjust and live peacefully with the opposite sex.
Homosexuals are declaring war with nature. If natures laws are disobeyed, the human race will not only become diseased through unnatural behaviors, but eventually go extinct due to the loss of reproductive abilities.

FOX news just reported a poll .
The number of people opposing homosexual marriage in Massachusetts has gone up from 45% who oppose to 53% who now oppose.
People are "tolerant" of homosexuals as long as they're not standing in their back yard. Once homosexuals get in THEIR face, things change.

I smell a 'Rat behind this marriage debacle in CA.
What better way to remove fiscal concerns from the minds of the California people as to place them on the back burner of political agenda?
