On today's show, Rush was claiming that pro-marriage people should be civily disobedient and force the pro-gay marriage activists to overcome the opposition.

Well, I didn't hear his idea but it doesn't sound like a good one. We need to let the extremists on the left stand alone in their lawbreaking. They are helping our side all by themselves.

Haven't heard the show yet. The idea of civil disobedience requires a law to disobey. Gay marriage is not a law. If I recall, Rush never supported the "civil disobedience" of Judge Moore and his supporters.
Again, I haven't heard the broadcast yet. I'm basing my comments on your post.

I think we should find a Republican mayor to impose something equally distasteful to the Left as this is to the...majority. Understanding that this hypothetical mayor is being somewhat sarcastic, he or she should start issueing city licenses for "conceal and carry" in one of that states that completely bans that.
One could issue "licenses" to teachers in public schools to lead in prayers.
I'd love to see them "licenses" to anyone who wants to collect Welfare, regardless of their employment status...after all its UnAmerican to discriminate.

He's been talking like he had some dental work done today.

So that's what he was talking about! He was breaking up so bad I had to turn him off. I tried to listen at 12:30 when I came out of lunch. I'll try to tune him in again now.
At any rate...I agree. We need to get very vocal about this...the sexual deviants are way ahead in the PR war.

One could issue "licenses" to teachers in public schools to lead in prayers. This is fertile ground. Light up a Winston in a movie theater; drive the wrong way on a one-way street; ask for extra salt and mayonnaise on your quarter-pounder.

Well, I didn't hear his idea but it doesn't sound like a good one. I can't believe what I'm reading here.
This is Vintage Rush today. He is saying that a "marriage amendment" isn't the answer. The judges are ignoring the laws we already have so new ones aren't going to help much. We need some means of dispatching judges who ignore the law and/or assume the function(s) of the legislature and/or the executive.
There have been quite a few boring shows recently but today Rush is spot on.

LOL. I ask for mine with extra fat and calories. You should see their looks when I do.
What exactly would pro-marriage civil disobedience look like? It's difficult to picture.

Something has to be done, but how does civil disobedience apply? Recall and impeachment are more to the point. Plus we have to light a fire under our legislators. There is hardly a political issue of greater importance than reforming our corrupt, activist, tyrannical judiciary. Legislators won't do anything unless they understand that this issue is important to their constituents.

I think though that laws the Left cherishes should be the ones to be "freed" from by an enterprising Republican mayor.

I missed the part of Rush's show you're talking about, but I did hear him say something else:
Rush said that judicial activism is the problem we must confront --not just homosexual "marriage."
Rush rightly pointed out that we have many, many problems created by black-robed autocrats --and we can't pass a constitutional amendment to deal with every one of them!
If Rush proposed a solution, however, I didn't hear it.

What exactly would pro-marriage civil disobedience look like? It's difficult to picture. It wouldn't involve marriage. See #5. After all, this disobedience doesn't involve "marriage" either. Its just a license to aggravate the Right. Well, there are a lot of things that could be "licensed" that would aggravate a knee jerk liberal. We should exploit that.
