The Hollywood Left will be after Mel. Not only did he persist in making a movie they didn't want him to make, he's making the unforgivable offense of having it be a BLOCKBUSTER

Ms. Waxman,

You are an idiot.

After this film, Mel Gibson will become one of the most powerful people in town.

Deal with it.

So what if the Hollywood big wigs hate him now that this movie is out, they hated him before. His movies were always panned. I hope Mel tells them to stick it!

Hollywood has been blacklisting Christians for years. This is nothing new.

But .. because it's a blockbuster, Mel will have plenty of money to do whatever he wants.

Hollyweird is just jealous of Mel's success, and that's why they're whining.

I'm sure that Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, The Dixie Chicks, and other established liberal defenders of freedom of expression and speech will rush to Mel Gibson's side in a show of support. . . .

Let the double standard begin!

Last week in a radio interview the elder Mr. Gibson

Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that subject interview was held over a year ago, prior to any showing of the film and that he was ambushed by the radio station that did the interview under false pretenses......

Poor babies...they'll never forgive him for making a success out of this movie. We will be going to see it sometime next week.
My oldest (age 15) grandson is going this Saturday with his Church Group.

Did anyone watch the actress Maia Morgenstern on O'Reilly tonight? Was it me or did she seem to refuse to answer anything outright? O'Reilly asked her, among other things, if she thought the film was anti-semitic....she did a good job of stonewalling him.

Honestly Mel Gibson does not need any of the "Hollywood" left-wing morons. If I were them, I would be more concerned about the continuing drop of audience watching the Academy Awards and the lousy year that "Hollywood" brought upon itself in 2003. Hollywood needs the likes of Mel Gibson much more the Mel Gibson needs "Hollywood"!

"People here will work with the anti-Christ if he'll put butts in seats."

We know that already.

This article is to laugh. Anyone who has seen this movie will laugh at this pathetic article. The movie is exposing the evil operating through the media. God help them.

Robert Redford, Clint Eastwood and others have their own independent studios.

Why to be a slave of the Hollyweird elite ??

After The Passion has made a zillion dollars, I wonder how long it will take for Hollywood to jump on the bandwagon and start producing cheap knock-off movies and TV shows based on the Crucifixion?

Hollywood is a close-knit world, and friendships and social contact are critical in the making of deals and the casting of movies. Many of Hollywood's most prominent figures are also Jewish.

Interesting. Such things being said by conservatives would be construed as anti-Semitic. I suppose it all depends on who is saying it, and for what purpose.

So with a furor arising around the film, along with Mr. Gibson's reluctance to distance himself from his father, who calls the Holocaust mostly fiction

Perhaps Ms Waxman wants Gibson to crucify his father in public.

Asked about his father's Holocaust denial in an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC, the movie star told her to "leave it alone."

...and I suppose to 'Diane Sawyer' fans, this equates to a tacit approval of Nazism by Mel Gibson.

Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, the principals of DreamWorks, have privately expressed anger over the film, said an executive close to the two men.

....that's okay. I'm pretty angry about the slop you two peddle for a living.

Neither of the chairmen would speak for attribution, but as one explained: "It doesn't matter what I say. It'll matter what I do. I will do something. I won't hire him. I won't support anything he's part of. Personally that's all I can do."

The only thing you support is increasing your bank account. I don't see much else in your work.

"If the movie works, I don't think it will hurt him," said John Lesher, an agent with Endeavor. "People here will work with the anti-Christ if he'll put butts in seats."

Right.

Many in the relentlessly secular movie industry see his recent religious conversion — he practices a traditionalist version of Roman Catholicism — as another form of addiction.

I see more 'addictive' behavior promoted by the Hollywood swill machine.....and this is from a Protestant.

What makes me squeamish about religion in general is that people think they have the answer: `I think my God is the right God.' How do you argue against that?"

..........perhaps a better question is 'how does one detect a counterfeit $20 bill?' You don't spend time trying to identify every possible variation that a counterfeit may present you with.

You learn to recognize the characteristics of a real bill; any fake is easy discerned at that point.

Mr. Gibson not only directed and helped write the $30 million film, but he also paid for it, including production and marketing costs, out of his own pocket, which Hollywood has filled.

No, Hollywood did not fill Mr. Gibson's pockets - - the movie-going, ticket-buying public did.

Oh, look.............just tell 'em to get over themselves. Good lord............

If I wanted to make a movie that made Jews look bad (and I don't), I could do one helluva job. What on earth could an Oscar-winning director like Gibson do?

Morons and whiners.
