Once the Senate passes amendments to a Bill, there is no "clean Bill" on which to vote.
There were at least 4 amendments agreed to on S, 1805:
*Kohl amdt. making subtle changes in S. 1805 language
*"assault weapons" ban extension by Feinstein
*gun locks amdt. by Boxer
*"gun show loophole" closed
The Bill, AS AMENDED, went down to an ugly 90-8 DEFEAT.

Looks like they might've had some sense somehow, to vote this thing to death like that. Wow.
I'm stunned. Thrilled.

Once the Senate passes amendments to a Bill, there is no "clean Bill" on which to vote. Not quite correct. This same bill was introduced at least three different times as S 659, S 1805, and S1806.

"Kohl amdt. making subtle changes in S. 1805 language..."You call the mandatory inclusion of a gun lock with ever firearms sale "subtle?" What in the world would you call "Obvious?"
WWIII?
