This clipping appeared in our snailmail today, at FRN. I believe that someone has reported that the Republican club entry was a joke.
I thought I would put it up for kicks.

I believe that someone has reported that the Republican club entry was a joke. Meaning he wasn't in the Young Republicans (and someone faked the scan) or young Lurch joined as a joke?

Wasn't he the English next door neighbor, on The Jeffersons?

What's with the gaping mouth? Photographers usually don't allow you to pose like that.
Another FReeper said Kerry had a pronounced "underbite." One of my sons has that condition too. Possibly the jaw or chin surgery Kerry's rumored to have had was to correct the underbite.
(So it could be that he just didn't look good with his mouth closed -- much as I can't stand John F'n Kerry, I don't want to make fun of that.).
To: Miss Marple
I think this was pre-botox and the Grecian formula.

Looks like he's grown some ear lobes under all that hair.
To: oyez
John F'ing Kerry to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971:
"I think [the threat of Communism] is bogus. Totally artificial. There is no threat. The Communists are not about to take over our McDonald Hamburger stands."
Was it worth fighting to resist Red expansion? Kerry thought not.
"To attempt to justify the loss of one American life in Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos by linking such loss to the preservation of freedom . . . is to us the height of
criminal hypocrisy."
Former Sen. Jeremiah Denton (R.-Ala.), a Vietnam POW who suffered four years of solitary confinement in Hanoi and who later wrote When Hell Was in Session, was Kerry's Senate colleague from 1985 to 1987. When Kerry was testifying in Washington in 1971, Denton was in his sixth year of captivity in North Vietnam.
"We barely won the Cold War," Denton said to me last week. "If we had gone the way Kerry was voting while I was in the Senate, we would have Russian soldiers walking in our streets today."

He's obviously had surgery to correct the pronagthic lower jaw, and get rid of the Gomer Pyle look. The important thing is that even in his formative college years, he couldn't decide which side he was on, Democrat or Republican, so he tried both.

Well, now we know why he his later photos show him with his hand under his chin in a reflecting mood. It's actually to hold his gaping mouth shut!
To: William Creel
He looks like a member of the Beatles. Little known fact: Kerry was actually in the group in the early days. Thus his nickname, "The Fifth Beatle."

I want this man to make a campaign ad stating exactly that. If he can testify that his captors used Kerry's testimony against him as a POW, Kerry would be finished.
