John Kerry's First Big Protest

The first documented major antiwar protest that John Kerry attended was the Oct. 15, 1969, Moratorium march on Washington. Hanoi needed to harness the U.S. antiwar movement to make it impossible for President Richard Nixon, inaugurated earlier that year, to take the war to North Vietnam.
Peter Collier and David Horowitz, then top activists on the pro-Hanoi left, later wrote that militant activists went in July to "meet Cuban and Vietnamese officials in Havana to map out strategies for the war in America, the 'other war' which would ultimately defeat the United States."
The U.S. activists returned home to organize massive, militant protests, including the Oct. 15 Moratorium, which Kerry reportedly attended while still an active-duty Navy officer. National Review reported at the time that Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) was one of the endorsers of the Moratorium.

We already knew he was piloting anti-war activists like Adam Walinsky around while he was still in the Navy. But this is before and beyond that.

Nothing is really what is seems to be with this guy.
I saw on Fox Carl Cameron interview him today and he looks ill and I am not joking.

Wasn't that against the UMC? Isn;t that "conduct unbecoming?" It would be today.

Not only did he attend, but his sister was one of the organizers. From the Boston Globe:
"It was his sister, Peggy, who was involved in the antiwar movement. One day in October 1969, Peggy Kerry was working in the New York office of a Vietnam War protest group that was planning a "moratorium" peace rally in Washington, which would draw 250,000 protesters one month later."

Is it true that the North Vietnamese played footage of Kerry's Senate testimony asserting the American military were brutal war criminals to the American POW's at the Hanoi Hilton? Anyone know anything of this?
To: kitkat
Thanks for the praise, but while I have known that Kerry was piloting Walinsky around--and I knew that the BG had mentioned the Moratorium--I had never realized that Kerry had actually participated in that event until I saw Waller put it in print.

I have posted before my belief that he is terminally ill. I believe as well that Hillary will be on the ticket knowing full well he will not serve out his term if elected. Someone other than the president should push this issue and demand release of his medical records.

Wasn't this grounds for a court marshall or something like ?
