Kerry courts Broward voters prior to state primary (And Uses Blacks As Stage Props)
Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel ^ | March 9, 2004 | Buddy Nevins

Florida Democrats might have liked other candidates before this month, but they were learning to love John Kerry on Monday as he hop-scotched the state prior to today's presidential primary.

Kerry started in Hollywood, giving 600 carefully chosen party activists a highly choreographed appeal aimed at Florida's huge Democratic voting blocs -- seniors, blacks and Jews. And they loved it.

Many black Democrats, who were a minority in the audience, were seated so that they formed a backdrop for TV cameras focused on Kerry.

Funny how its OK to the liberals that Kerry exploits blacks by using them as mere stage props.

They moved ONLY the black parishoners to be behind him for the photo-op. White people were not invited. The decision was based only on skin color. This is going to break today on talk radio.

Our local yokel talk radio is on it right now. The Steve Kane show. Would be great if we can break it nationwide.

The Steve Kane show.

I listen to the Steve Kane show. My only gripe is when Steve Kane and his wife go into WAY TOO MANY details of his sexual problems when advertising sex enhancement products on his show. Do I really need to hear early in the morning about the "Erection Injection?" Especially painful was the other morning when Steve was explaining that you need to do the injection at the base not the top of the appendage in question. OUCH!

He said seniors 55-64 years old would be allowed to buy into Medicare early under a plan which would be funded, in part, by rolling back Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy.

It seems to me that if someone has the financial means to retire at age 55, then he or she can afford to pay for health insurance, or keep working to the extent necessary to maintain it. Providing health insurance for early retirees just isn't a big priority for me. Frankly, I would say most people who can retire at 55 probably qualify as "wealthy." Here's a newsflash: if you want to retire at 55, but you haven't made provision for health insurance.... then perhaps you should keep working.

Yeah. He's kind of like Robin to Steve's Batman. Brian sort of spices up the show with the confrontational stuff.

"The campaign appeared polished and professional, compared to those of some of the other Democratic candidates who stumbled into South Florida earlier this year."

Huh?? If these types of ad hominem attacks, allegations, and outright lies are seen as "professional", the democrat party is truly in trouble. It won't be long before moderate voters want to know what issues Kerry believes in, not what he "believes" George Bush is doing wrong. A candidate cannot go around tearing down his opponent without offering solutions to "problems" he sees in policy.

It is a waste of time to take anything said by individuals who attend these types of rallies or speeches - they are not relevant to the mainstream. They are a selected audience.

As I recall, Clinton was great at this, and then did little for blacks.

John Freakin' Kerry is a fully qualified practitioner of the POLITICS OF FEAR, DIVISION, and HATRED.

This is the very essence and life line of the Democrap Party!

so why do poepl still vote for them if they are alligned with deviants and liars.

I think its because people are under the delusion that this is the democrat party of 75 years ago.

At the base of the penis actually. Steve does a lot of work off-show for British Diagnostics. They are the erection injection folks. Steve is a world class advert. salesman. He rounds up his own sponsors and he does a great job for them. He taught Dr Shapiro how to advertise his hair plug business.

Nasty John the French Undertaker, personally endorsed by Jacques Chirac, is a weapon of mass economic destruction. He'll destroy the troops in Iraq, the War on Terrorism, & the U.S. stock market with all his negative talk and whiny-leftist-liberal sour-puss troop-bashing, Bush-bashing, America-bashing talk & personality.

The last time Kerry was this close to blacks was when he was having his $1,000 shoes shined or passing his domestic servants in the hallway of his mansion. Notice how democrats only go to church when running for president? Then they bash Christians for the next 4 years as bigots, racist, homophobes etc.

Isn't it long past time for the Democrats to select a black as their vice presidential candidate? Why not this year? Rev Al is available. Jesse too.

Yeah but it is WAY TOO MUCH information to hear Steve and his wife talking about his sexual problems. Early in the morning I don't need the mental image of Steve preparing to get romantic with his wife and then stopping everything to pull out a needle to give himself an "Erection Injection." ("Thanx" Steve for letting us know the shot is given at the base, not the top of the Talleywhacker.)
