YCT-UT Will Appear on MTV This Weekend
Austin, TxThe UT Chapter of YCT is pleased to announce that some of its members will appear on Music Television network on this Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The T.V. station produced a piece on campus activism and sent reporters down to Austin to interview a number of YCT-UT members about the organization and its many recent events. The crew arrived on UT campus on March 2nd and was able to witness the Texas Independence Day celebration that YCT put on.
Contrary to experiences with other reporters, the MTV crew seemed to to have an unbiased view of the the conservative revolution on college campuses. Tune in to the station during the following times to see how this usually liberal network actually covers the conservative activists.
Conservatives take the tactics of the Left MTV
Sat 3/13: 350am, 650am, 950am
Sun 3/14: 550am, 950am, 750pm
Mon 3/15: 350am, 750am, 1050am,
YCT-UT hopes that this exposure will spread the conservative message to younger kids and help to create the new generation of right-wing campus activists. Although YCT certainly does not condone many of the things that appear on the station, we recognize the opportunity to get our message out to as many young people as possible.
The Young Conservatives of Texas, a non-partisan youth organization, has promoted conservative values for more than two decades and publishes influential ratings of the Texas Legislature. YCT has chapters at Stephen F. Austin University, West Texas A&M University, Baylor University, University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas at Dallas, University of North Texas, Hardin-Simmons University, Tarrant County Community College, and Texas A&M University.

Good luck, hope the coverage is reasonable and helps get the word out some.

Probably it's because they didnt go to journalism school to learn how to be biased. ;-)
Brendan, good luck with that.

I hope this is true.
But that nasty little part cynical part of me wonders if some MTV staffers are hoping
this will "rock the vote" in a reactionary way for their more leftist viewers.

You got to see our UT Young Conservatives of Texas on this program. It's great. There's also a blurb on a California college and the Protest Warriors. They're all potential protesting future freepers.
