March 13, 2004 -- A tantalizing clue has emerged pointing to al Qaeda as the culprits in the Madrid bombings - there were exactly 911 days between the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the latest atrocity.
The Spain tragedy, which occurred on 3/11, also fell 21/2 years to the day after the planes slammed into the Twin Towers.

I would too, but these are civilians, not soldiers. Let the soldiers march to Damascus, and the civilians march to Madrid. They can even do it simultaneously.
If President Bush had stayed out of Iraq, we'd have been faced with another 911 - possibly with Saddam-supplied WMD's and paid for by the Hussein regime (like he did in Israel w/ the Homicide bombers).
If President Bush had stayed out of Iraq, we'd have had to face Saddam eventually. I couldn't care less about the "plight of the Iraqi people" myself. People that are willing to live under a repressive regime deserve whatever they get. But as for me, give me Liberty, or give me death!
I never cared about blow-gate either, it just proved what many of us thought from the beginning: Slick Willie was a sleasebag from the word "go".
The Federal Government gets enough money already - if our elected officials didn't waste OUR money to buy votes by giving grants to study the sex lives of the bollweevil and to produce artistic masterpieces like "Piss Christ", we could do many things that are actually important to our Nation w/o running up a tremendous deficit.
Our Nation, in a post-911 world, can no longer tolerate belligerent foreign dictators with a stated goal of distroying us; especially if that leader has WMD's or the ability to produce them. The USA IS safer with Saddam out of power.
They only care about the sacred black moon rock, and a few other "holy sites." Those are the only counterstrike options that might give them pause.
