[history]
March 18, 2004 -- Vice President Dick Cheney yesterday ripped into Democratic nominee John Kerry as a weak waffler with lousy judgment who'd have left Saddam Hussein in power and is insulting steadfast allies like Britain. "It is not an impressive record for someone who aspires to become commander in chief in this time of testing for our country," Cheney said in a speech at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., after a bomb ripped through a Baghdad hotel.

Dick Cheney is and always has been very impressive. No bells and whistles, just the facts.

Cheney unleashed!

Reminds me of one of those Cousteau documentaries where a shark circles and then tears huge hunks of flesh out of a dead whale's blubbery hide.
To: kattracks
Cheney also blasted Kerry for his vote last fall against $87 billion to support U.S. operations in Iraq, including body armor and other troop needs - a vote that's now the focus of a Bush-Cheney TV attack ad.
Wrong! I saw the ad. It was
not an "attack ad". It simply stated the fact of how the rat voted. How is simply stating a voting record an "attack ad"?

I wish Bush would unleash him more often. Maybe he figures the fear of the shark is as effective as the shark itself.

Cheney was so witty too. I was laughing and laughing even harder because I didn't know he had it in him. He truely made an ass out of kerry.

"Sen. Kerry calls these countries 'window dressing.' They are, in his words, 'a coalition of the coerced and the bribed,'"gee thanks

hanoi john wants to increase the firefighters union rolls, by 100,000...which wouldn't even begin to take care of Kali or NY (state) much less the rest of the country. Firefighters are reactive, not pro-active. If he'd of purposed 100,000 new CIA or FBI agents that spoke Arabic or other off shoots of it he might have actually had a purposal worth something. But then again commie's like hanoi john FEAR the CIA and FBI.

The Kerry campaign fired off a press release noting that Cheney, who was defense secretary under Bush's father, defended the decision to leave Saddam in power in Baghdad in 1991 after kicking him out of Kuwait. What a completely lame response! I get the feeling that after months of W's multi-layered counterattack, JForbesK will be raising the white flag like the Republican Guard in Gulf War I.
To: mitch5501
gee thanks Forget what Kerry said. I for one appreciate every single one of our allies troops...Australia included. We really found out who our friends were last year!
To: kattracks
Kerry should sue the Bush campaign for definition of character.
To: kattracks
Cheney is no longer in his secret location. LOL. Didn't we just listen to a round of press speculation that Cheney would be replaced on the Bush ticket? In their dreams!
I wish I had a picture from the Saturday Night Live skit where Cheny was in a cave in Afghanistan. I loved that skit!

Very clever! Wish some newspaper were as clever as you and had headlined Cheney's speech with: Kerry to Sue Cheney for Definition of Character.
To: kittymyrib
Thanks; I think, however, that the credit has to go elsewhere. I believe it was Shemp Howard who first used the term. But it works pretty well in the present situation!
To: kattracks
that could give the Kerry camp pause as it contemplates Kerry's choice of a vice presidential running mate who'll have to debate Cheney Bring it on!
LOL, who in their right mind would want to debate Cheney?
