Disgusting Protester Sign at the NYC "Peace" March
Canon EOS 10D | March 20, 2004 | toupsie

What these two "Patriotic" Americans' sign says:
Support the Only Position with Successful Historical Precedent
Call for the Mutiny of U.S. FORCES in Iraq as in Vietnam!
U.S. Regime withdrew from Vietnam in 1975 only after
Mutiny in Ranks: Mass Shootings of Officers by Enlisted Men
and Refusal of Recruits to Even Get on Troop Ships! Mutiny
at an earlier date would have saved the lives of
2 Million Vietnamese and over 58 Thousand Americans!

Funny, I spent the ENTIRE DECADE of the 70s in the Navy, made 3 combat cruises to 'nam, was on the staff of a couple of Admirals, had a TOP SECRET clearance, in fact I had clearances so high that the mere fact I held them was CLASSIFIED CONFIDENTIAL, and I don't recall anything like this in ANY of the intel reports I read.

Did anyone else hear of ANYTHING like this????

I recall reading about one or two isolated incidents of "fragging", that is, tossing a fragmentation grenade into the proximity of an officer that was known for being abusive. These were the acts of a few cowards, NOT the general conduct of large numbers of soldiers.

Why are most socialist protestors funny looking old guys?

The guy holding the sign on the right looks like Sean Connery without his hairpiece after a 3 day drinking binge.

Leftist propaganda math involved here. 2 fragging incidents equal 2000, 20 fragging incidents equal 200,000 etc.. Only heard of one or two towards the end from news reports and apparently the press used the Left's math formula. Most of my army buddies never experienced a fragging in their units and can't name anyone who was a victim. It appears that the leftist press was trying to demoralize our troops at the time. Those wackos carrying the sign wouldn't lift a finger to defend anything, if trouble arouse they'd find a cave to hide in until it was over. They wouldn't frag anyone either, no guts, they'd try and convince you to do it for them.

My brother went to Vietnam on the General Patch in 65. It was the same troopship that my father came back from Germany in 1952. Initially during the early deployments there were troopships but to my knowledge there was only one person at that time who refused to go. He left at a later date and actually redemed himself in combat and made some statements that he was ashame of his original actions.

When they signed the peace treaty in late 72 or early 73 there were at least two to three hundred lined up at the gate wanting to get in. The desertion rate was nothing compared to what it was in WWII.

In EOD we had to testify as expert witnesses on a few occasions. All of the fraggings involved drugs. They were upset because somebody leaned on them about drug use.

were you there? if you were could you comment on the size of the crowds?. the BBC stated the number of protestors was first"around ten thousand" which morphed into in the " tens of thousands by the next hourly update. As always I am skeptical of such numbers. how many was it really?
