This is the same threat we hear from the Palistinians: If you kill our leaders then we will send suicide bombers into your pizza parlors and onto your busses.

[as if that's not already going on]

“There has to be a reciprocal treatment of nominees,” Daschle said

Sounds to me like there is, Tommy. So where have you been hiding, Mr. Daschle? Decided to poke your head out on the national scene again, and see if your numbers in S. Dakota go south?

Tell Daschle, "No thanks. I like you better when I can show you to be the lying obstructionist weasel that you are. I wouldn't want you to compromise your principles in an election year.

As a bonus, we'll even spend our money making sure your constituents know who to thank for the gridlock, Mr. Booster Seat."

Tommy is in no position to try "negotiating" his way out of this.

I'd like to see FReepers contact Bill Frist and tell him that he'd better get busy and do some heavy lifting for the president's judicial nominees.

I'd like to see Frist do a little less politicking behind closed doors, get out there and start raising a little hell
IN PUBLIC about the Daschle obstruction.

Here's his fax and phone numbers: fax (202-228-1264) or telephone (202-224-3344) from his website: http://frist.senate.gov/

Let's all take a minute to politely PUSH this fellow into doing what he was HIRED to do: Represent MAJORITY interests.

“There has to be a reciprocal treatment of nominees,” Daschle said in a brief floor statement last week. “It will be very, very difficult for us to move forward on nominations in the future if the matter isn’t resolved.”

Oh Please .. give me a break

Hey Tommy we all know you are not a man of your word and will block them even if there is a compromise is made

Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) is threatening to stall President Bush’s judicial nominees if the president does not take action soon to appoint more than a dozen Democrats to government boards and commissions.

Another lying Rat trap.

This souless little troll has to go!

C'mon Daschle.

Democratic roadblocks in 2001 to the organization of the new Bush administration certainly didn't help America prepare for --->9/11.

“There has to be a reciprocal treatment of nominees,”

reciprocal means a two-way street. Maybe if Tommy would agree to votes on Bush's choices, then maybe people would listen to him.

Since the 'rats started it with Bork maybe? Way I see it they owe us at least two supreme court nominees before we approve any of theirs.

In this election year, I say screw them over. There is no middle road with the Democrats.

If Rove is serious, he needs to show the Democrat party and impotent and powerless. This will send a real message about the worthless nature of voting for ANY democrat.

IOW Don't vote democrat because you will not get acess.

It is a good message to send.
