"When Clarke was there during the Clinton administration, they held lots of meetings.Bush had a lot of meetings, too. Clarke was OUT OF THE LOOP -- and that's what this is all about!
"During the 2000 time frame they could tell how well they were doing because they were holding all these meetings."
Did he honest to God say that???

A "metric" is the cliche du jour, means "a measure";
as in,
"What is the metric by which Jamie Gorelick's stupidd?"ity is judge

Wonder what the summer of threats response was to the TWA 800 terror attack and the Olympic Park bombing attack in Atlanta.

To: GUIDO
I had to get away from the tv. I'm getting that same sickening feeling that made me join the freepers during the campaighn.

Usually a 'metric' is a term used for how something or an event is measured. What type of systems are in place to assure your processes are robust... Then again, I didn't hear the context of the discussion.
To: Howlin
Oh, Lordy, they've actually asked Wolowitz a question.

I don't know about ya'll, but I'm kind of enjoying the irony of hearing dems complain that we didn't act sooner, after all we've heard from them for over a year is complaints about GWB acting like an over-eager cowboy.

I can just see Rummy smiling and shaking his head when he goes back into his office after having to put up with some of these RAT morons.
To: prairiebreeze

If you are in the dark, and this is just a suggestion, how about not jumping in and making an inaccurate editorial remark, next time. Thanks in advance.

Albright was awful.
Madame held up her end of her sobriquet, "Not at Albright".
