There is NO DEAL says, Arnold Schwarzenegger!
www.ktkz.com | March 23, 2004 | Eric Hogue

Posted on 03/23/2004 4:50:02 PM PST by Eric Hogue 1380 KTKZ

News from the "Belly of the Beast", the Governor's office is reporting that there is "NO DEAL" with Gil Cedillo on SB1160. I have confirmed reports that Arnold has NOT agreed to anything...and what he has mentioned as a possibility is too strict for the taste and liking of Cedillo and the Democrats.

Plus...there was a report that 12 Republicans were ready to sign this 'piece of legislation' (that never was/is)...well I discivered today that the truth is...the Democrats don't have enough votes to bring this (if it was an authentic committee draft, it's not!) to a count in the Assembly. They have a majority and they can't bring themselves to face another defeat on an issue like this!

I hate to say I told you so...but...

Now, stop supporting the Democrats 'attack Arnold' campaign, as well as their effort to eat at the conservative vote in the GOP for California. They have a problem with passion surrounding John Kerry - Don't let them create appathy for the GOP vote.

Stop carrying the water for Gil Cedillo, Art Torres, Fabian Nunez and John Burton! Support the new administration and its goal, while supporting Bush for '04 in California!

I'm a believer, are you?

All fifteen GOP senators are firm:
NO to Cedillo.
Bashing Governor Arnold here is sport for some.
Their guy lost and they can't get over it.
Pity.

Oh Puhleeze. This has nothing to do with attacking Ahnold. It has to do with our citizens being fed up with capitulation to illegal aliens! It's valid criticizm and has NOTHING to do with supporting Democrats in their Ahnold attack.

Are all Republicans beyond reproach no matter what they do? How then do we differ from the typical, brain dead Democrat?

And you see no connection between that and the activism amongst the GOP base? If we just sat quietly, hoping for them to do the right thing... they'd slip into the depths of RINO Hell once again.

In the matter of DLs for illegals?
No, I don't see activism as the force behind the GOP senators' position.
The public at large hates the very idea.
To me, this is a no-brainer.

Yet it is the law in some states.

Some of us work hard to keep their feet to the fire, and it's working! Well done all who refuse to capitulate just because there is an R in front of a name! The rest have alot to answer for.

Oh no!!! All that speculation and nothing to come of it!!! What will the paranoid detractors do now?

Oh I know they'll try to sink President Bush's re-election campaign. Like the good little liberals that are posing as conservatives that some of them are. I know that not all of them are posers but there are enough of them around to feed red meat and to incite real conservatives in an attempt to demoralize the voting base.

Tis true; there are a few simpleminded cowards who continue to harass others for voting for the only man who stood a chance of defeating cruz bustamante.

And, by doing so, they perpetuate the perception (and reality) that they are political infants who lack any clear understanding of the electoral process.

So be it.

Shhh. Don't argue with the patients. If he thinks he's Marshall Dillon, let him be Marshall Dillon. Nothing is going to change and Arnold will continue to do what he said he would do.

We have the Dems on the run here in Sacto, the GOP needs fanfare and cheering, NOT constant critical rhetoric IN THE MEDIA so people believe they are NOT representing them. Thanks for your intelligent support of the NEW Republican Party in CA!

The very thought that a vote to defeat bustamante warrants reproach is indicative of the fact that some still don't get it.

Had Arnold not won bustamante would be California's current governor.

I, as are many, am proud to say I helped soundly defeat the racist Mexican.

That may ring hollow in the mind of a DC resident but for those of us who actually live in California it is a tremendous accomplishment.

Well said!
And the most important thing Arnold promised? NO TAX INCREASES!! And Arnold Schwarzenegger is a man of his word, a stand-up guy, and a great governor. He is certainly not a lying scumbag, no way. He will NEVER allow the scumbag Democrats to raise taxes.

Go Arnold!!

There is no deal maybe but the Governor (as candidate) never said he was against drivers' licenses for "undocumented workers." In fact, his official web site (as candidate) stated clearly he intended to do everything possible for them short of "amnesty." Depends upon the meaning of deal, huh?

I hate these kinds of games, whether it's from Party hacks or liberal swine.

I've heard the audio of the Governor telling a Hispanic reporter (Sacramento's Ch 19, I think) at a Sacramento Press Club lunch last January, I believe, that he and Cedillo are working on "a great bill." The governor was talking about a replacement for the repealed bill that permitted drivers' licenses for ILLEGALS.

One thing that is good about all this is it will spur signatures for son of Prop 187.

Unfortunately many dimwitted Californians have fallen for dem Rats' trick of blaming Republican support of the original Prop 187 for the Party's problems. This is likely one of Bob Mulholland's best tricks.

Sixty percent of Californians voters voted for Prop 187 -- including 25 - 30 percent of Americans of Hispanic origin. Forty percent of the people who voted in 1994 came out specifically to vote for Prop 187. What kind of "thinking" believes that support of prop 187 is unpopular? Go figure.

The California's Republican Party's problems since 1994 IMO is due to Democrat moles running the Party.
