They better expel all their windbag threatenings now because after November I don't think they're going to have much pull in that Senate.

"The administration needs to tie together liberal judges appointed by Democrats, with gay marriage and the pledge case."

you could add trying to delay the recall election, changing election law in FL and NJ, changing tax law in NV and I'm sure Freepers could come up with more. But your two have the best play to the masses.

Senate Democrats threatened today to block all of President Bush's judicial nominations unless the White House promised not to name any more judges while Congress was away. "These actions not only poison the nomination process," the minority leader, Senator Tom Daschle, Democrat of South Dakota, said. "They strike at the principle of checks and balances that is one of pillars of American democracy."

Where were your bellyaches for Bill Lan Lee, Daschle? Why not do the votes as Constitutionally required, Daschle.

I hope this is your last term in the Senate, squirt.

Good idea.

It'll be a great campaign issue in Sd, Ark, and all 5 open Southern Seats.

Good grief people, read up.

If this were possible, we would have done it a long time ago. Frist has already signed on to legislation that would end the filibuster, but it's not gonna do any good. Why?

THEY WILL JUST FILIBUSTER THAT TOO!!!

Look, I'm as upset as you about all this, but blaming the R's isn't productive.

I sense you're a little timid in expressing your true sentiments about the good Senator. Please, tell us your true feelings.

P.S. You're far from the only one having this opinion!!!

It will be hard to obtain votes for Republican candidates in regard to the filibuster of judges in AR or SD. Most voters really do not understand the filibuster, the Constitution, or Senate procedures. Voters also rarely vote on a single issue, and when they do, their numbers are small. So even if a Dakotan opposes Daschle's position on blocking conservative judges, he may still support Daschle because Daschle has high name ID and puts SD on the map, may even get a little "federal gravy" for the Dakotans. As for AR, there is no serious Republican senatorial candidate even running in that heavily Democrat state.
