Tax-Funded Attacks Against White House Employees?! [Call for Action!]

Imagine you take a temporary job with your local school board, and that you are trying to encourage better educational standards. Let's say some school employees don't appreciate your changes to the curriculum. So, one Sunday afternoon, they grab the keys to a few school buses, fill them with a couple of hundred activists and impressionable kids from their classes, and truck on over to your house. These activists unload the adult instigators and the kids, and they surround your house and pound on your windows and scream at you all afternoon.

They also make sure that you understand that this is not an isolated incident, and that they will return, saying something like, "We will [come back] if he continues to ignore us."

Sound far-fetched? Ask Karl Rove.

You see, this Sunday, school employees from Wichita, Kansas, and Cleveland, Ohio, appear to have done exactly what I outlined above to the President's Senior Advisor, Karl Rove. They filled his small yard, surrounded his home while he was inside with his two young children, pounded on the walls and windows while screaming at him.

Several hundred people stormed the small yard of President Bush's chief political strategist, Karl Rove, yesterday afternoon, pounding on his windows, shoving signs at others and challenging Rove to talk to them about a bill that deals with educational opportunities for immigrants.

Protesters poured out of one school bus after another, piercing an otherwise quiet, peaceful Sunday in Rove's Palisades neighborhood in Northwest, chanting, "Karl, Karl, come on out! See what the DREAM Act is all about!"

Rove obliged their first request and opened his door long enough to say, "Get off my property."

"Seems like he doesn't want to invite us in for tea," Emira Palacios quipped to the crowd.

Others chanted, "Karl Rove ain't got no soul."

The crowd then grew more aggressive, fanning around the three accessible sides of Rove's house, tracking him through the many windows, waving signs that read "Say Yes to DREAM" and pounding on the glass. At one point, Rove rushed to a window, pointed a finger and yelled something inaudible.

. . .

Palacios, trembling and in tears herself, said, "He is very offended because we dared to come here. We dared to come here because he dared to ignore us. I'm sorry we disturbed his children, but our children are disturbed every day.

"He also said, 'Don't ever dare to come back,' " Palacios said. "We will, if he continues to ignore us."

And she apparently has the resources to follow through on her threat. You see, Ms. Palacios is not only one of the leaders of National People's Action, the group that attacked Mr. Rove and his family in his home, Ms. Palacios is an employee of Cloud Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas. What's more, her co-chair at National People's Action, Ms. Inez Killingsworth, is an employee of Alexander Hamilton Middle School in Cleveland, Ohio.

It is interesting that Ms. Killingsworth hails from Cleveland, because here is the picture from the Washington Post's account of the attack on Karl Rove's home:

I32162-2004Mar28L.jpg

"Christina Haynes, 11, of Cleveland and other demonstrators hold protest signs from school buses near the home of presidential adviser Karl Rove."

Given that, the relevant question here is where did the buses and the children come from?

It appears from this news article that Ms. Palacios and Ms. Killingsworth appropriated school buses and students from their respective schools. What's more, employees responsible for their students' safety appear to have purposefully placed these students into a violent and unpredictable situation, even encouraging them to form a mob and commit crimes against a person in his own home.

And they have threatened to do it again.

Ask the people responsible for Ms. Palacios and Ms. Killingsworth whether their school districts will continue to use taxpayer money to support political goon squads to attack people in their homes!

Ms. Palacios' Cloud Elementary School is located in District 6 of Wichita, Kansas. The Principal of the school is Ms. Carla Smith, and you can contact her by e-mail at csmith@usd259.net. The Board of Education member responsible for Cloud Elementary and Ms. Palacios is Mr. Lynn Rogers, and you can contact him by e-mail at lynnwrogers@sbcglobal.net.

Ms. Killingsworth's Alexander Hamilton Middle School is located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Principal of the school is Mr. Hiawatha Shivers, and he may actually be complicit in the attack, given his involvement with these activist organizations, but you can contact him at (216) 561-3880. The Chairwoman on the Cleveland Board of Education is Margaret Hopkins, and you can contact her at (216) 361-8254. However, given the politically charged nature of Cleveland education, it may be more fruitful to contact the State Superintendent for Education, Dr. Susan Zellman, at (877) 644-6338.

Doug Clifton, the editor-in-chief of the Plain Dealer, was all for publishing home addresses of concealed carry permit holders. Something tells me they aren't going to be very interested in comdemnind someone else's attack of a Republican in his home.

Cleveland schools can't afford to educate the kids but can make bus trips to DC

The system set up with that "war on poverty" that maintains poverty by depriving the mind with individual "freedom" and responsibility.

No longer individual thought but group think.

These same people just swarmed the JP Morgan office in downtown DC. It's unknown whether they are still using buses full of 11 year-old kids as human shields.

DC Police Chief Ramsey will be responsible if any harm comes to these kids. The adults they are with are purposefully placing them in violent and unpredictable mob situations, and the authorities are letting them get away with it.

How about a Mississippi ping on this one, WKB. I think the very active Mississippi contingent on FR would be excellent at this type of activism. I have already sent e-mails to all parties and am waiting for a response from these complicit scum bags.

The audacity of this! That people here illegally can openly threaten a citizen of this country and nothing is done to protect that citizen is horrible!

I wonder how these folks would feel if mobs of folks showed up on their doorsteps, knocking on their windows, demanding that they stop encouraging illegal aliens from coming to this country and living off state and local taxpayers' tax dollars. I paid out-of-state tuition for four years because I chose to go to a state other than my home state for college. It was expensive, and I have the student loan bills to show for it. I guess the illegal Mexicans should move to an Arab country first, so they can have an Arab government pay for them to be educated here. Or maybe the Mexican government could chip in to have Mexican citizens' educated here. Quit calling on Americans to pay for foreigners' education. Go bang on the door of Mexican officials.

The scary part (not surprising in the least, but seeing it up close is still frightening) is that the people behind this, people in charge of taking care of other people's kids, are so incredibly dumb and/or ignorant that they probably have no clue that they've broken the law. Nor do they care. They feel something; therefore they must act with no regard for anything else. The real crime is that people this intellectually dim are allowed to be "educators." The whole lot should be arrested.

This is one more step down a slippery slope of people being allowed to break the law without consequence, much like the various city officials illegally issuing gay marriage certificates. The current situation is that liberals can break the law if they want to, if their cause is "good" enough.

Firstly, I would have turned loose a pack of dobermans on the new "chew toys" who first arrived at the scene. The only assylum available would be in a paddy-wagon.

Afterwards, I would close the school district down (who's busses were used) and fire the school board, as well as the staff who provided the bus for the rent-a-mob. I would send all who went to that school to the furthest-most school possible and not supply any additional busses for transfer. Let them rent their own transportation.

Those who drove the busses would have their license revoked and criminal marks placed on their permanent record. All who showed up would be charged with criminal trespassing and attempted breaking and entering.

Just got this email from Mr Lynn Rogers. Either he's playing possum or he really doesn't have a clue as to what his teachers and kids are doing.

"I think you must have the wrong person - I am Vice President of the Wichita Public School Board in Wichita KS. If Karl Rove lived by me, I would be happy for him to be a neighbor. I am very proud of my president. (Maybe there is a Lynn Rogers elsewhere?)"

I hope he gets with the program.

Here is the comment I received at TastyManatees.com from Lynn Rogers.

"Please let everyone know that no tax money from Wichita Public Schools were used in this attack on Mr. Rove. If a teacher or staff member were part of this, it was on their own time and their own dime. THOSE ARE NOT WICHITA BUSES - we would not have allowed them to be used in that way. I assume they were rented by the protestors. I DO NOT CONDONE THIS TYPE of Protest towards anyone. My apologies to Mr. Rove and his entire family.

Lynn Rogers
Wichita Public Schools
Board of Education member
"
I believe this gentleman's assertion that Wichita wouldn't allow this type of use of school district property. In addition, I have not yet seen any claims in the press coverage that there were children present from Wichita, Kansas, so I don't think it would be responsible to assume that Ms. Palacios had brought children from her school. Therefore, I have pulled the links to Ms. Palacios' Principal and Board of Education member. While I still decry Ms. Palacios' tactics as morally disgusting and arguably criminal, I don't believe that she misused her position as a school employee to secure buses or children for her attacks on Mr. Rove, Secretary Chao, or the Washington office of J.P. Morgan.

However, it still appears that there were children from Cleveland present at Sunday's violent attack on Mr. Rove's home. Understandably, I believe that Ms. Killingsworth, an employee of a Cleveland middle school, may have brought children from her school to this violent event and stood by while criminal activity occurred.
