I need some help...there was a post here a few days ago, that spoke of a news story in the then Saddam-controlled newspaper on a warning about an attack on US soil...can anyone point to that story?

I saved it somewhere. I'm looking.

In the interim, there's this little tidbit:

The paper's November 14, 2002, edition gave the names and titles of 600 leading Iraqis, including this passage: "Abid Al-Karim Muhamed Aswod, intelligence officer responsible for the coordination of activities with the Osama bin Laden group at the Iraqi embassy in Pakistan."

That's the one I was looking for. NYT and one of the British papers reported the same thing.

Here's a later one from Uday;

"...The second point is that we have to let our enemy understand – for he said openly, that the UN resolution does not mean stopping him militarily, for he is able to attack militarily any time and or any reason that can be considered a breach of the contract without going back to the Security Council. We, in turn, have to prepare, so if we discover that a certain parasite or disease is in the air, we take our care and prepare our medications and the suitable reaction for each action...."
