Nothing wrong with girls and guns, they just don't belong on the battlefield.

If the men enlisted the way they should, there wouldn't be any military job openings for the women.

Aragorn: You have some skill with a blade.
Eowyn: Women of this country learned long ago that those without swords can still die upon them. I fear neither death nor pain.
Aragorn: What do you fear, milady?
Eowyn: A cage. To stay behind bars until use and old age accept them and all chance of valor has gone beyond recall or desire.
Aragorn: You're the daughter of kings. A shield maiden of Rohan. I do not think that will be your fate.

Thanks for the dialogue which I presume is from LOTR. I'm not a big fan of fiction, and I don't go to the movies anymore because I'm also an evil tobacco smoker. I don't have a video CD player(DVD?) and the VCR is broken. Travis McGee's EFAD was the 1st piece of fiction that I read in decades. I can probably wait until they show LOTR on TV.

That's one of my more interesting posts. I was in a hurry to find the quote but I didn't remember which movie it was from. I guessed the second, LOTR-The Two Towers, and I guessed correctly. Then I was able to get to my son's house for dinner. The only problem was I forgot to hit post.
When I came home, the computer screen still have the preview on it and instead of labeling the post with the movie title, I just hit post.
My house looks like a library but there are only about six books that are fiction.
Go see the three movies. You won't be disappointed.

I wonder if non-fiction is a trend...I have a small library also, and you'd be hard pressed to find a fictional work in there...

I saw this yesterday but didn't get a chance to read it, thanks for the ping to bring me back.
I love this piece because it reads like a story rather than an article. Sounds like someone needs to write a book about him!!
I can't wait to go to Barnes & Noble to check this out, I've really enjoyed reading gun books and magazines but it will be a treat to have something from an historical perspective rather than a tactical/practical one. I'll have to look at our schedule and see if I'll be lucky enough that Wilson will be at mine to sign books.
You've also got me drooling to go shoot again--I still haven't gotten to try out my new Hogue grip!
