Have the yankee revisionists been here and acted unseemly?
For a short while only. :)

welcome!
also. thought you might like to know that "indications" that one IS a damnyankee (these are wellknown to every true southerner over the age of 5!):
1.a belief that the WBTS was a crusade against slavery, rather than a war of conquest
2. a hatred of our sacred battleflag,our HERO-MARTYRS, our memorials,our monuments, our cemeteries,our shared mores & customs,etc.,etc.,etc.
3.AND a belief that EVERYTHING & EVERYONE in the southland is inferior to similar institutions & people in the north
like i said damnyankee is a LEARNED, rather than inborn, prejudice.

As a little old lady in Vicksburg says, "Yankees make the Azaleas grow better."
To: stand watie
There is a fourth indication that someone is a damn Yankee:
4) A habit of reading Southron postings and laughing out loud at the petty delusions therein.
The Civil War is over and the South is not going to rise again. Flame away.
Did he say 'flame away?'
Bad choice of words.

your welcome to hold any, if completely ignorant, opinion. it's called liberty.
opinions are like bellybuttons: everyone has one & they mostly stink.
do you consider yourself a damnyankee??? if so, you have my sympathy. (fyi, i don't "flame" anyone.)

I want to take my family to Mississippi for vacation this summer. But we absolutely insist on staying in a cabin in the woods. Is there a particular area or town in MS that is a cabin hideaway type place with lotsa trees? Please advise. Thank you!
To: stand watie
Actually, I only qualify for my indication #4 and perhaps your #1. On numbers 2 and 3, I'm most definitely with you. As for being a damn Yankee...well, I am a Yankee...damn is something for others to decided.

in the short run, you may be correct about #4. i don't believe that i will live to actually see dixie freedom, but my 13YO neice will bask in dixie LIBERTY. (if you think i'm a radical, you oughta talk to her. her name is TARA & she is scarlett o'hara through & through!)
the way i THINK freedom will come is:
Le Republique Quebecois will secede from Canada.
then Los Estados Unidos de Azatlan will leave the union.
then the new (and much improved) Southron Republic will quietly & hopefully peacefully will leave the union, allowing the remaining northern staes to be the sort of socialist/secularist/NANNY-state that most yankees seem to want.
EVERYBODY will be much happier!
