Neil Bush not father of tot, testing says

HOUSTON – Paternity testing shows presidential brother Neil Bush did not father the child of his mistress-turned-wife, attorneys in a slander case against his former wife said yesterday.

Sharon Bush, Neil Bush's former wife of 23 years, is accused of spreading rumors that the child at the center of a defamation lawsuit was fathered by her ex-husband.

The suit was filed last year by Robert Andrews, who previously was married to Bush's current wife, Maria Andrews Bush. Robert Andrews, whose DNA matched that of the boy, claims the rumors harmed his 3-year-old son.

"You can't unring a bell," said Andrews' attorney, Dale Jefferson. "Sharon Bush rang the bell by spreading this false rumor. And because the Bush family is the closest thing to royalty that we have in America, this would be a rumor that would follow this precious child unless we stopped it at the outset."

Jefferson called the results "complete vindication for the Andrews family."

However, Sharon Bush's attorney, David Berg, said yesterday that the results will have no impact on the pending civil lawsuit against her. Sharon Bush never said Neil Bush was the father, he said.

"We will meet them in court," Berg said.

The suit alleges Sharon Bush felt "anger and bitterness" over the breakup of her marriage to Neil Bush and blamed Maria Andrews for causing the marriage to fail. As a result, the lawsuit alleges, Sharon Bush made the false statements about the lineage of the "helpless toddler."

Since we had a thread about this "rumor," I thought it important to set the record straight.

Neil Bush is such a schmuck! He's one hell of a blemish on what seems to be an otherwise good family. God, I hate him.

Neil Bush-- I'll bet he avoids his mother like the plague. I can't say for sure, but I'll bet she's disgusted with him, and she's let him know it.

There was a big article in Vanity Fair on this issue. They did their best to besmirch X41 and Barabara but failed.

Neil seems to have married a woman who anticipated reat things. She both depended on and tried to dominate him at the same time. This an onerous burden in a marriage and it failed.

In passing I note that contrary to public belief success including social class can be predicted only one quarter of the time by family of origin determinations. Quite surprisingly 75% of the variability is variability within the family based, no doubt, on intelligence and temperament considerations that are basically a throw of the genetic dice. My guess is that Neil was seriously learning disabled as a child and only recently has become to overcome his deep seated feeling of insecurity and inferiority. Must be tough to be in a family with so many high functioning successes.

Wow...I've only had one beer but I'm completely lost here. WHO IS THE MOTHER? That's one heck of a monage-a-some-number these people have going....

His wife may have been domineering, Hell, I don't know. That still doesn't justify leaving his wife. He's a total jackass. May he rot in Hell.

To be honest, this is too complicated to understand. I don't think it will have much effect on Neil Bush's reputation one way or the other.

If I read it correctly, the mother is Neil Bush's current wife. The allegation in question would be that Neil's ex-wife saying that the child of his current wife's previous marriage was actually Neil's and not the new wife's ex-husband's.

Clearer?

What the Hell is so complicated? He vowed to take Sharon as his lawful wedded wife, through sickness and in health, for better or for worse! Seems pretty simple to me!

You need to relax...

I don't think anyone of us can condemn anyone to hell. Isn't that in the hands of God?

If you feel so strong, shouldn't you pray for him?

What's complicated? Who is suing who, and who is divorcing who? I agree, it SHOULD be simple.

Perhaps I was wrong to say he should go to Hell. But our society needs to stop being so tolerant of adultery. The breakup of the family is the one of the worst things that has happened to Western civilization in the last century. It would be one thing if he had a one night stand or an affair with his mistress. He could repent and be forgiven. By divorcing his wife and remarrying while she is still alive, he is living in sin. Now I haven't followed this story very closely, but it seems to me that he has no intention of ending his relationship with his mistress. Most of us feel remorse when we have sinned. As far as I can tell, he doesn't care. Who says I don't pray for him? I almost always make a special intention for the conversion of sinners when I pray. But I am sick and tired of people taking marriage lightly. Where is the outrage?

Very interesting. Bar seems to be very down to earth and a good sort of person. I've JUST read her two memoirs, and just received my most recent eBay purchase, "Millie's Story". She mentioned how Neil was a good son and how he suffered after his insider trading deal or whatever it was that gave him a bad rep, and how helped with 41's re-election campaign, but I had no idea that he divorced Sharon. Bet Bar isn't happy with him at all. I think he dances the fine line and it ends up biting him in the arse.

"I don't think anyone of us can condemn anyone to hell. Isn't that in the hands of God?

I can't remember who said it but, "..the last refuge of despair for a man is another womans arms.." The point is that many men who cannot make the break from a relationship they don't want to be in, find another woman. In a way this deflects the wife's rage towards the "other woman" and also give themselves a reason for leaving. Not an excuse, but really what people do in real life without really understanding what they are doing and why.

In addition, sometimes people marry for the wrong reasons or when they are so immature and insecure they really slip into a relationship with little or no thought as to why and to whom they are marrying. In times past, most died before 50, but now we live much longer; hence, marriages sometimes end when life used to end.
