He's on the frontline. There's been no communication.( By the way, no news is good news) From the few news articles I've read about the 1/5 ,it's hard work. Patrolling night and day. Digging in. Hauling supplies (as we used to say, "beans, bullets and bandaids"). Burning crappers. Filling sandbags. Briefings. Watches at night. 2 MREs a day. No telephones or computers. This is a Marine infantry battalion on the line.
