Americans are beginning to tire of them.

"I watched my husband murdered live on TV. .

I don't mean to sound cruel and cold - I cannot imagine what they have gone through - losing their husbands in the 9/11 attack - but I've had just about enough of them (and Chrissy Matthews, too).
Neal Boortz was discussing "the widows" this morning with Jamie Dupree and he (Dupree) said even Washington insiders are growing tired of them and they have very little clout with congress anymore.
Feature film to be released within the next year, I'm sure.
They ought to be calling them the Jersey Whores, the way they have sold their husbands memory to the Democratic Campaign Machine.
Coiffed, customized, cued, and curt, these women love the victimhood spotlight. It's sickening....and so is Chris Mathews! a new low even for him, and I'll wager selling his soul like this, hasn't upped his ratings.
To be sure, Lisa Beamer has not been 1/10 as offensive as these other 9/11 moms, but she still signed her name to that letter at a time when even the New York Times was writing about Torricelli's corruption.
That's a lie right there. I've been to the Pentagon memorial, and at least one of the people who died when the plane hit the Pentagon was not only a Pentagon employee, but a passenger on that plane. It's one of those really weird coincidences, but it did happen.
So's a widow named Ellen Mariani. Here's the link for that lawsuit. Look who Mariani's lawyer is, one Philip J. Berg of FL recount fame. Wonder how Mariani hooked up with him?
It's quite noticeable that Matthews has developed a peculiarly unhealthy infatuation with Kristen Breitweiser. Mrs Matthews would be wise to keep an eye on these two.
I keep wondering when the "Chris and Kristen Show" will debut on MSNBC.
I wonder - are they are going to be on his show - this hour? I wonder if he will EVER have other 9/11 widows, loved ones, etc. - to give their point of view.
I doubt it.
All 10 commissioners need to see the PDB. And the reason for that is because we had a national security adviser come out days after the attacks and say we had no idea they could use planes as missiles.
The fact is that in May 2002 someone leaked the existence of the PDB and spun its contents to insinuate certain things about what the administration "knew".
It was in the wake of that leaking that Condoleezza Rice immediately gave a press briefing and talked about this PDB. It is in THAT press briefing that she made the now infamous comment about nobody imagining they'd take planes and slam them into buildings.
And as we now know after seeing the declassified brief--the PDB didn't address that scenario either.
So Rice did NOT make the comment, as Breitweiser asserts here, "days after the attacks".
He is on LKL this minute.
Believe it or not, Robert Mueller was before the panel today and Tom Kean asked HIM about Ashcroft's flying arrangements during that summer. Mueller was not prepared to answer and was vague about it and said he'd get details back to them.
Kean evidently (though I missed this others noted it on the Live Thread) stated he was asking this on behalf of "the families".
Now, what other implication are we to take from that but they are calling Ashcroft a liar in his answer (or at least possibly lying) and Kean obligingly pandered to them and thus, in my book smeared Ashcroft with such innuendo.
Of course the facts will be presented but in the meantime the bizarre conspiracy theory was in fact revived a bit today with that bit.
Incidentally, Kean then further disgraced himself by speaking to the press after today's hearing and stating that Gorelick should not step down, that she's non-partisan--yes, that's what he said--it is silly to even suggest she has a conflict and then he ended with we should all stay out of the commission's business.
first, i never expected nor wanted anyone's sympathy.
second, many 9/11 families use support services.
third, since you have decided that the 9/11 commission is "no longer" being productive in their investigation, i must ask you when you started following the work of the commission? what spawned your interest? have you been following our work for the last 2 years? or have you just been interested in the commission lately?
fourth, were you in attendance at the hearing? have you attended all the hearings? have you read all the transcripts from the hearings? did you watch any of the televised hearings in their entirety? what are you basing this belief on? is this your own informed decision/opinion? and, have you visited our website and read our press releases?
fifth, i am totally 100% self-funded. i would be happy to send you my cab receipts, hotel receipts, train tickets, gas receipts, and toll receipts. and where are you getting the heinz foundation question from? the allegation has been proven false because it is false. frankly, rush limbaugh is bordering on a lawsuit if he doesnt watch his erroneous statements.
sixth, in order to get interviewed by reporters, most often you have to be in attendance at the hearings. probably, because reporters are asking questions about the substance of the hearings. ironically, the people that seem to be complaining have attended few--if any hearings. i would encourage everyone to attend the hearings. they are extremely educational. they prove that democracy does work. thank god for that, afterall that is why we are in iraq, right?
seventh, once again i implore you to do some research. the 9/11 families have no right to sue. our rights to hold anyone accountable were taken from us by the airline bailout bill on 9/20/01. to quote the special master of the vcf, "it was the only game in town."...(and p.s. i do get offended when people refer to 9/11 or anything associated with it as a game.)
eighth, i voted for President Bush because i thought he would be a better president than al gore. when someone takes an oath of office, they take an oath to lead, protect and serve. i only wish all of our elected officials remembered that oath leading up to, on, and post 9/11. will i vote for my President again? check back with me in october.
ninth, my child's nickname is smiley--because my child is always smiling. my child is the happiest, most content child you could imagine. i promised myself when my husband was killed that i owed it to him to make sure that my child never lost that glimmer in the eye, that sparkling infectious little giggle that my child had even as an infant...to date, my child hasnt lost that smile, that giggle, that sparkle--my child is my ray of sunshine...i wish more people understood the importance of making children safe and happy...i dont have a nanny. i dont have a babysitter. i take my child with me when i can. when i can't my child stays with family. but, thanks for asking. honestly, i could care less what anyone thinks of me, what i care about is what my child will think of me when my child is older--that is what matters to me. what matters to you?
instead of attacking people for having a different viewpoint. why not try respectful disagreement followed by respectful dialogue. it is a nice concept.
take good care, kristen.
After I responded to her with valid counters to her comments and pointed out that I never attacked her, only disagreed with her, she wrote:
i noticed your email address. should i assume that your emails reflect the official company policy of XXXXXXX?
This last e-mail gave me the most insight into the inner workings of her mind...agree with me or I'll threaten you! Now I start to wonder how she and her buddies were able to get this commission in the first place...same tactics?
Note the same tactic with the Rush comment: and where are you getting the heinz foundation question from? the allegation has been proven false because it is false. frankly, rush limbaugh is bordering on a lawsuit if he doesnt watch his erroneous statements.

From www.september11th.org:
"9/11 widow Ellen Mariani has filed a lawsuit against Bush and other White House officials, charging them with complicity in the September 11th terrorist attacks. Mrs. Mariani has refused the $1 million in pay-off money from the government-allocated 9/11 compensation fund."
