As this whole episode with the 9-11 commission moves on...one is often reminded of the Warren Commission and the lack of competence within that effort. They really never settled the majority of questions around Kennedys death, and most of the commission players...all were insiders. As you look at this 9-11 group, you see the same thing...insiders. I think Bush intentionally picked Gorelick onto the commission. Gorelick is the only person that might be able to connect alot of the dots and by being on the commission, those dots can be left unconnected.

127 - "those dots can be left unconnected."
Good observations. The purpose of the commission is definitly not to uncover anything, but to cover some butts, and the ACCIDENTAL result is uncovering a few things as the worms squirm to prevent being uncovered.

The conspiracy industry made 'mince meat' of the Warren Commission report for their own selfish purposes. Make sure, in your disdain if WCR, that don't just 'blow away' an awful lot of factual information that was gathered by them that would not exist were it not for the Warren Commission and their publishing that report.
I highly recommend Gerald Posner's book Case Closed for a clean, even treatment of the facts in that case.
Instead of allowing personal feelings and opinions to interfere with this investigation, Mr. Posner used documented testimony, recorded interviews with witnesses, and modern scientific advances to explain how and why things happened the way they did. This is not THE X-FILES. The truth was out there and Gerald Posner found most of it.
