QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"In the past month or so, everything has gone wrong for George W. Bush. Still, if this keeps up, he'll win reelection in a landslide."

-- Richard Cohen, Washington Post, 4/22/04

I pray this quote goes from Cohen's lips to God's Ear......Julie

As I recall, we tried the same thing back in '96: "Vote for Bob Dole; hey, at least he isn't Clinton."

It didn't work for us then, and it won't work for the Dems now. Agreed, a very good article.

RE: "...the sound of cloven hooves clip-clopping on the pavement and the legs of a pig in a polyester pantsuit rubbing together."

EXCELLENT !!!

Thanks(?) for sharing that scary mental image. Perhaps one good scare deserves another.(...?)

I'm still trying to figure out how Kerry is getting such a large support in polls - when nobody knows him ..?? Very curious?

Personally, I am very much looking forward to spending election night at DU enjoying the mass suicide watch over there.

Personally, I am very much in favor of encouraging them to emigrate. Really, we insist ...

Stories about the president’s reliance on faith and on a “higher father” to give him strength scare many voters. But most of those particular voters lost to Bush long ago. On the other hand, I can think of swing voters I’ve interviewed in Ohio and Florida who would be reassured, not shocked, that Bush would pray as he leads.

Fascinating how this Fineman guy tries to appear objective, but lets out some real prejudices regarding God, America, the President, and the war.

The above is representative.

"Wait.. what's that I hear off in the distance? Why it's the sound of cloven hooves clip-clopping on the pavement and the legs of a pig in a polyester pantsuit rubbing together."

I'm too cynical. These 'positive' articles about President Bush have me looking for ulterior motives. One is that the esteamed senator from NY is making a move.
