There's a multitude of vets, active, guard, reserve, retired and those now as civilians and our family members who now make up the fabric of our great country that see through all of Kerry's smoke and mirrors regarding his war record. When you throw in the vile, low-life treatment the leftist KerryRats and their whipping boy media gave to President Bush and his National Guard service, it makes the vast majority of us seethe with a quiet burning anger, like a slow burning fuse.
The powder keg is the election. It'll be fun to participate in the big blast and ensure that our current CINC remains at the helm.

My Grandson is in Iraq. Before he left I asked him why he joined the Marines and knew well where he would be going. He answered,"So my kids won't be required to read the Koran when they are in high school". I think his answer says a lot.

This letter should go to every newspaper in the country.
Do we have the ability to do that?

This letter should go to every newspaper in the country. Absolutely. Yes, it can be done if everyone here forwards it to their local newspapers.

President Jimmy Carter is well-known for his sensitivity toward the needs, ideas, and military strategies of enemies of the United States and for his incompetence and lack of courage in handling the emergence of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I know not of anyone, however, who can level substantial accusations against Carter that he committed sedition or treason, or publicly or even privately wished or hoped for the defeat of American soldiers.
I understand that he recognized and felt deeply troubled by his failures, and often stayed awake well into the night attempting to micromanage his way around these problems. Carter attempted to retaliate against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan by imposing a trade embargo and boycotting the Moscow Olympics. Although both of these measures did considerable harm to ordinary Americans, I seriously doubt that he intended this result.
On the other hand, Kerry will threaten war with our enemies--but only subject to the permission of the most inept warriors on Earth. Even if he sends troops, he will render them about as potent as the French by denying them necessary equipment and supplies. He will disdain their mission in one of his eternal flip-flops, and eventually order them returned home, forcing them to abort the most critical part of their mission, as if in surrender, ultimately doing net harm to American interests.
I hope that nothing in the previous paragraph is true, especially if Kerry is elected. Although I fear that I probably have understated what might happen, I do not believe that my predictions ever shall be put to the test.

I don't think he wished or hoped for the defeat of American soldiers. But I do think he wrecked the chances of the Middle East to go modern by stabbing the Shah in the back. It's quite possibly the biggest blunder of the 2nd half of the 20th century, by any western leader.
