I see no problem or that it's anybody's business how much somebody spends on their personal grooming.
Kerry has given us a surplus of topics we can run with...haircuts shouldn't be one of them.
Are some of us jealous perhaps? Jealous that you can't afford such proclivity?
If the stylist aborted her calendar, she should be compensated for the lost income...plus her time to grab a flight, etc..
$1,000 is bargain IMO.

I posted one on the other thread. Here you go.

$1000 is a small price to pay for a bonesman to look dandy.

Kerry can pay $5,000 for a haircut and still look like Lurch. May as well go to the local barbershop.

That said, if one can afford $1K haircuts, it's their money...or in this case, their wife's money ;^)

"I didn't pay $1000 for a haircut - my family did. The haircut belongs to my family. It's all George Bush's fault. I want to know how much he spent on haircuts when he was AWOL from the National Guard. It's an evil right wing haircut conspiracy against my hair. I'm not going to stand for anyone questioning my hair. I'm not going to stand for it! I'll bet George Bush didn't even have a nice haircut when he was stopped for DUI. How much does Dick Cheney spend on haircuts? I think there needs to be a full accounting. My first act a president will be to appoint a bi-partisan, independent haircut investigation board, chaired by Cristophe stylist Isabelle Goetz. WHO TOOK MY STRAWBERRIES!??!?! EEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! {end dean scream)

Know what?
I'll bet Laura cuts Dubya's hair! I don't think so. But I am certain she would had there ever been tight times in the family. That's why I cut my husband and boys' hair. Sometimes I do have to outsource them to the military barbershop, when my schedule is too demanding.
I can't wait for Mark Steyn to point out that someone who can't arrange for a haircut for less than $1,000 shouldn't be allowed control over a nation's pursestrings.

The stylist gets $1000, and, Kerry's and Hillary's hair STILL look like rat's nests.
Hey, John! Forget about us rabble owning SUVs; what about you and Ta-ray-sah jetting around lackeys in $35 million private jets, decorated with dead trees.

Kerry is a dork AND a sissy!
Some guys join the navy for a multitude of reasons, just ask the Village People (BTW, another horrible song)
In the Navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the Navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the Navy
Come on now people, make a stand
In the Navy
Can't you se we need a hard?
In the Navy
Come on protect the mother land
In the Navy
Come on and join your fellow man
In the Navy
Come on people and make a stand
In the Navy, in the Navy
