I've rarely voted for a Democrat, and have never given money to one, but I might make a small contribution to the Hoeffel campaign. Specter has to be stopped, and I see little difference between him and a typical Democrat, except that the Dem will not head the Judiciary committee. Thoughts?

Please. If you cannot morally vote for Specter, then you cannot morally vote for Hoeffel. Don't think we're stupid. If you can't vote for a pro-choice Republican, then you certainly cannot vote a pro-choice Democrat, unless you are one of two things. A Democrat or a liar.

Specter MUST be denied the chairmanship of the Judiciary. If the only way to do that is to un-elect him, that works for me.

Unfortunately, Hoeffel is a dyed-in-the-wool leftist. May as well invite Marx himself into the hen house. I would vote Dem too if they had a decent one running against Specter. Unfortunately, Hoeffel is one of the worst of the worst.

Hoeffel may not head the Judiciary Committee, but if a Republican majority isn't preserved, another Dem will. I just wish they'd remove Specter's committee assignment altogether. Let him waste away.

I've had the exact same thought...send a few bucks to Specter's opponent. Mebbe start a "Republicans for Hoeffel" club.

Spectre must NOT be allowed to chair the Judiciary Committee. I think the Repubs will retain their hold on the Senate even if we lose Spectre's seat. He must be made to PAY.

Go ahead, hand control of the Senate to the Dems... that's what a Toomey win would have done anyway... Why should we care that the Senate in a time of war is being handed over to the party that absolutely is anti american, and doing everything they can to undermine our troops, or military and the executive branch... So go ahead, cut your nose off to spite your face.

Who cares if more americans come home in body bags, or more planes fly into syscrapers, or teenagers and mothers and children are blown to bits by suicide bombers at the mall after they gut homeland security... at least your sense of vengence will be satisfied.
