Kerry needs to lighten up

John Kerry has a "batman." This is a British military term for what amounts to a servant - someone to take care of an officer's personal needs. In Kerry's case, it's Marvin Nicholson Jr., who keeps the Massachusetts senator in peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches and bottled water. This, though, is the wrong man for the wrong task. What Kerry really needs is someone to slip him gags. He may be the presumptive nominee, but he is an objective pill.

Ha! I wouldn't take political advice from someone who so closely resembles Papa Smurf.

Everybody's getting into the act!
Don't you just love it? All these yentas, critizing/offering advice to Kerry? It's got to be absolutely driving him up the wall!

Everybody's getting into the act! If Jimmy Durante were alive today he'd be turning over in his grave.

Each and every one of these leftists offering JFnK "constructive advice" is really thinking "I could do a better job".
Each and every one of these leftists is secretly imaginging himself/herself as King of the USA. Then they'd really tell the rest of us how to live.
In the meantime, they're stuck with the prospect of King JFnK. He's one of them, so they support him. But he just isn't good enough, so they offer endless tidbits of "constructive criticism".
It's another leftist circus act. With the Clowns all lining up to play Advisor to the King.

Richard Cohen uses this opinion piece to rip Bush and Cheney (again) by giving "constructive criticism" to Kerry. But he can't escape the facts: the butler, the dour candidate, the unlikability. Enjoy this campaign season, Mr. Cohen! You (and the Dems) deserve it!
To: ReleaseTheHounds
What Cohen doesn't seem to realize is that Kerry is a joke.
To: kattracks
"My candidate", referring to John F'in Kerry. Do we have to read on here? Bias? Never. There are not enough horses in the continental US to produce enough horse hockey to cover this situation.

Lord, it would be quite alright if he lightened up so much that he just floated off the planet--at least off the public stage and well out of sight.

For speaking to the press I'll venture that Mr. Nicholson will be canned forthwith.
