The world's socialists and other misfits will be coming to Brunswick Ga in June...

TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events; US: Georgia
KEYWORDS: lefties; organizations; protest; socialist; socialists
How come none of these so-called protests are ever scheduled in China or North Korea?... I hope the hotels in Georgia triple the rates for these anti-capitalist creeps.

Brunswick, Georgia? What, they're down there because they aren't getting enough paper mill stink in their hometowns?

(Sorry, Brunswick, but every time I've ever driven by that place on I-95, it's stunk. It's like the poor place has a permanent temperature inversion holding the funk down. The Golden Isles are beyond beautiful, though.)

I got stuck there one time back in the Fall of 1976. On our way to our Florida vacation. Had some car trouble which meant an overnight stay at the local Holiday Inn.

What a smell that berg had! peeeeeeeeyuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

My Dad worked most of his life in a paper mill, and so did I, during the summers.

He used to say "I dunno what everyone's complaining about. It smells like bread and butter to me."

Smart. Put the "protest zones" directly downwind.

Upside: Protestors won't smell as bad as mabient air.

Downside: Tear gas won't subside demonstrations.

Agreed, Golden Isles are beautiful. Had some great stays at Sea Island Plantation years ago.

The place on I-95 that really stinks is up in LIberty County...

I'm not saying that Brunswick's paper mill and stump processing plant don't smell... but it's not as bad as that paper mill up there...
