Of course the nation will not survive same sex marriage.
It will change the identity of the culture.
That America will no longer exist.
It will be replaced by a culture that denies the natural....denies reality.
It will self-destruct.
"Moral decay leads to anarchy which leads to totalitarianism."
Hey! That's what I always say and then the opposition shuts up because they can't deny it. The more it's said, the more people will consider the very deep meaning therein.
Note my new tagline...:-)
I take cold comfort in your numbers. It's time to put the issue to the voters.
Where is the agreed-upon foundation of right and wrong, upon which laws are based, culture is based, community standards are based, family is based, business ethics are based (and so on) if traditional morality BASED on religion is out of the picture?
The only other "right and wrong" is every man for himself and the devil take the hindmost. Dog eat dog. Consensual cannibalism is right around the corner.
(In Germany, to be exact.)
Ever heard the phrase, "If it's true for you then it's true for you, but if it's not true for me then it isn't true for me". Another way of describing criminal insanity. Lock'em up in Vacaville.
Response: Same-Sex marriage is a symptom of an underlying social collapse-which is a process that has been ongoing for the last two hundred years or so. It is the ongoing collapse which will destroy America. Eventually a critical point will arrive where anarchy will arise and 'rivers of blood' will flow. A new society and political structure will arise. The new order will not be as beautiful as the Republic, but people will eat, drink, copulate, evacuate their bowels and snore.
If American society was healthy same sex marriages would never happen.
Well, I believe you have convinced me that I posted without thinking it through sufficiently. Or didn't express my thought clearly enough. My idea was, and still is, that an individual does not necessarily have to have personal religious convictions to know right from wrong. But the underlying definitions of what is right and what is wrong are definitely based on the foundation of religious beliefs.
People who are not religious are still benefitting from the general moral foundation of society, which is indeed based on traditional religious morality. And many believe that we are now squandering the last of our inheritance.
I am not sectarian, my view is that all theists should consider themselves brothers in faith, since moral tenets are pretty universal in monotheist religions of the world. And even non-monotheist ones such as Buddhism.
Without an agreed-upon standard, there is only a yawning abyss.
This says it all...
Contrary to a historical myth perpetrated by the secularists, America at the time of the founding included atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, etc., and the Founders knew that it was only this unique form of government, based on individual rights from God, that would protect people of all beliefs
Ain't that the truth! Bring it on!
The gay community enjoys the distinction of being the wealthiest demographic group in the nation.
Maybe. Speaking generally, caring more for oneself and one's "stuff", than for other human beings (other than one's mother, with whom one is obsessed), has its rewards... But the "community" definitely does not enjoy the distinction of being the smartest demographic group in the nation.
Bwaaaaaahahaha!!
Homosexual mother or father cases are handled in the category of paternity actions. They are not handled directly in the dissolution of marriage area.
Homosexuals use intervention to produce children. The very rare exception of a father or mother who comes out is just a regular divorce case in which you can use the homosexual lifestyle to deny residential custody and in some cases, upon providing expert testimony, obtain supervised visitation with no overnight stays.
There will be no presumption of paternity with two lesbians. Legally it will be as if singly mother married "some guy" not the legal father of the child.
Essentially the ABA Model divorce code which has envisioned imposing homosexual marriage on society, wants to eliminat all children from marriage an place them in the limbo of the dependency courts.
What good is an FMA going to do? We are where we are because lawyers, particularly judges, are ignoring the Constitution now. Another amendment will mean nothing to those numbskulls.
oops should have said paternity courts but then again (s) it takes a village to prevent thought crime.(/s)
My stepfather has a great talent for the last named of those activities, Aemilius. :-)
foreverfree
such an amendment makes it explicit that homosexuality is NOT the equal to a normal marriage. It takes the case out of the multitude of wacko judges on the bordello of the state courts and puts it squarely back into the legislative perview.
The feds required Utah to make marriage one man and one woman before it could become as state. The feds only recognize marriage, for decades, as one man and one woman. They do not recognize any other variant such as polygamy.
It is the only way to stab into the heart of the ABA leftist wacko commie lawyers who are using the courts where the legislature failed to endorse public homosexual sex.
I like that - cultural terrorists.
Yes. Ellis Rubin has a reputation of destroying his clients cases in his quest for media attention. He is a media prostitute. He had the famous nymphomaniac sherrif's wife case. What should have been a quiet slap on the wrist with her pimp husband uneventlfully resigning, turned into a media circus which was detrimental to his clients and pushed the prosecutor into an hard take position on the case.
The real issue on the case will be who is the judge.
FYI the Michael Adam who is refered to in the article is also a south florida law professor. I wonder if he is using law students as free labor (with students getting credit)...
(homosexual rights groups are engaged in a $$ turf war, that much sounds correct to expect.)
The good news is that if Rubin's incompetence sustains the Federal DMA it will keep homosexual marriage from spreading. Remember the 11th US DCA is the one which upheld the challenge (third challenge after two state court homosexual failures, I believe)to FL prohibition of homosexuals adopting children.
Having Rubin on the opposition is good for you.
Well, the life of a Christian, yes? Time to start a tidal wave of prayer. Can't we do that at least? My prayers on the subject are already taking on a tinge of hysteria; it'd be some relief to know that I'm not alone. We should take a pledge to pray about this every night or something like that...
