A Fox News poll released yesterday found 70 percent of those surveyed say that news reports about U.S. military operations in Iraq focus only on the negative, and "leave out the positive."

That figure is up 10 points since Fox posed the same question in October.

Iraq is still in Bush's favor, always has been, even while the media has been constantly focused on the prison scandal, otherwise, Kerry would have been polling 15-20 points ahead of Bush by now, but he's not.

These numbers must make the DNC wish for some rope, a chair, and an overhead light fixture.

The press is cutting their own throat here.

I guess they don't care, because they see an opportunity to get Kerry in. But the damage they are doing to their own prestige is beyond what they realize.

I didn't like the liberal press before. Now I actively hate what they are doing. I personally do not buy a newspaper or watch a TV news channel if the Iraq prison scandal is front page. I wish others would do the same.

Re #3

I agree. The more terrorists try to create troubles for Bush, the more solid would Bush's support become. When such troubles are repeatedly shown on TV, the doubt on Kerry's ability to rein on terrorists gets refreshed on people's mind.

I agree, having completely quit paying attention to the media some time after 9/11, the Left continues to be disgraceful. You & I see it, so I think many others cannot help but see the slow train-wreck that has come to personify duh Press!

The damage the media has done to their credibility will echo for decades after the fiasco of their outrageous bias for the past several years. I have no more intention to view an "alphabet network" than to stand in front of a moving train. They are all Communist "Pravda" incarnate, and the people know it.

I will however, continue to enjoy the hemorrhage of viewers flees the networks in an attempt to find alternate "truth".

No, idiot. The level of coverage has been out of proportion to the crimes committed. Any idiot, including someone named "No fool here", should be able to understand that and apparently 70% of the people polled agree.

They hate the fact that Reagan beat the Soviets. They're doing their best to make that victory irrelevant by helping to create a Socialist America.

The poll found that 60 percent were more upset by the Berg story than the prisoner abuse; 8 percent felt the abuse was worse. Another 29 percent rated them "equal" on an emotional scale.

Nearly 40% equate panties on a prisoner's head with taking a captive's head off. What does that say about that 40%?

MSNBC ran a poll yesterday. Even MSNBC's left of center audience were 2/3 to 1/3 tired of the Iraqi Prison Abuse scandal and beating the dead horse over and over:

Poll to FReep - Iraqi Prisoner "Abuse" photos- have you seen enough??

How does one damage something that they are totally void of to begin with?

Either O'Reilly or Shep Smith said last night that cable news viewership has declined with the continuing obsession on the prisoner mistreatment story. Either people are picnicking and partying instead of watching the news or else they're just sick of it.

I didn't buy newspapers before OR watch the nightly news, but I have now given up watching the Sunday morning talking heads shows. Putting some Dem on with John McCain or Chuck Hegel and calling it "balanced". PLEASE.
