Next thing you know, Los Angeles will be devastated by F5 twisters, and ...
It has to be global warming. Perhaps a glacier shelf fell into the ocean and that's why we have outbreaks in Tornado Alley during this spring. Where's Algore?

Appears to be a warm air cap sitting over south central Kansas, we've been spared so far today

No, it's the fault of Bush or Rumsfeld. No question about it.
Seriously, I hope everyone is okay.

...A TORNADO WARNING CONTINUES FOR LINN COUNTY UNTIL 815 PM CDT... Just keep it out of South Central Michigan, please!! We're STILL bailing out after last weekend's storms toppled trees and knocked out power. Once again, Edison and energy crews with their lift trucks are our heroes!
We never lost power at our apartment, but the electricity at our lot (where we're building our house) is out. Good thing we've got a generator...

A dryline just passed over us to our west here in Wichita. Could get bumpy if things fire up.

I have been watching the clouds form on the visible satellite all afternoon here:
http://www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/goeseastconus.html but now that the sun is setting, will have to watch the activity on the ir.
click 6 picture animation and on the map, Kansas- Mo border. It goes (pardon the pun) down to 1 km pixels. For DSL go to 100%, modem I use 55%

I was watching the line on radar, it was going Northwest, a rather bizarre direction around here.

Not in that area but I email with a friend who was living in St Louis and now she is in Michigan. Her weather has been terrible lately. My sister in Tulsa has been living under frequent tornado warnings. And my sister in law in Iowa, a few years ago, her neighborhood was about destroyed by tornadoes. Palo Iowa near Cedar Rapids. Scary weather out there. I think God is reminding us that HE is in control of HIS universe and we are NOT.
