``I won't buy a home in Virginia. I'm done,'' said Bo Shuff, a 30-year-old gay rights activist who has rented in the Washington suburb of Arlington for the past two years. Too bad, so sad! I'll move there after you move out. Sounds like my kind of state!

Now, why would VA interfere with legal contracts between two adults? That's taking it too far.

Wow. Here I thought the Virginai legislature was a pack of spineless scumbags after they voted for a huge tax increase that it turns out they never even needed thanks to the expanding Bush economy.
Ahh, what the heck - - any scumbag who voted for more taxes should STILL be voted out of office, regardless of how they voted on this common sense measure to protect the institution of the family.

Gays and lesbians are angry and even threatening to leave the state Is that a really threat or actually a promise?

New Virginia Law Alarms Gay Activists So that's what that was. I was walking through old town Alexandria yesterday and there was some guy behind me making a noise like a robbed bank. So they've alarmed them now? Damn. |

=== The new law is an amendment to the state's 1997 Affirmation of Marriage Act, which prohibits gay marriages. The amendment extends that ban to civil unions, partnership contracts and other ``arrangements between persons of the same sex purporting to bestow the privileges or obligations of marriage.''
Excellent.
Was it New Mexico whose healthcare system was so gay-friendly it collapsed entirely?
A lesson to be learned there. Absent availing themselves of some fake "right" to have children (procuring the Prize embryos and leaving the seconds to profiteers in the "humanitarian research" biz), not a chance in hell homosexuals can fulfill the obligations inherent in the marriage contract where Society is concerned.

WOW!!! Go baby GO!!!
If it is that easy to get rid of homosexuals then let the legislating begin!
This would leave Boston as the homosexual Mecca.

Gay activists in Virginia are toying with a new motto for the state: ``Virginia is for lovers. Some restrictions apply.'' If Virginia had the guts to change their motto thus, I'd spend every vacation dollar I've got over the next decade vacationing there only.

I love the Virginia Commonwealth Seal and motto with Lady Liberty standing on a vanquished tyrant and the Latin motto "Thus it shall be with Tyrants." The Gay Lobby who wants to ram their perverted lifestyle down the throats of the rest of us is obviously not welcome here.
Any chance Western Pennsylvania could apply for annexation to your great state (minus the Commie loving ares of Pittsburgh)?

I think it would be a nice gesture to turn Mass. over to them. Everyone should have a home where they feel welcome.
