President Bush Gives "Rummy" a Standing Ovation!!
The FOX News Channel | 5/31/04 | GeorgeW23225

Posted on 05/31/2004 11:27:33 AM PDT by GeorgeW23225

What a great "spontaneous" moment!! I hope you all got to see the ovation Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld got today at the ampitheater of Arlington National Cemetary.

When his name was announced, the crowd went abolutely wild!! The screamed, cheered, whistled, & stomped their feet. The look on Rummy's face was priceless, but.....the BEST part was when the President stood and gave Rummy a standing ovation. The crowd went NUTS!! And so did I. I found myself standing in front of the T.V. applauding, and giving Rummy a standing "O" along with the President. It was a great moment, and it touched Rummy deeply. If y'all missed the moment, I'm sure FOX will replay it!!

Were you aware that 3 libs (spewing Bush hate) have been booed in the last 2 weeks ..?? I do believe it is a trend - and it's not good for Kerry.

Calls from the left for his resignation are so pathetically misguided that it's clear they have no concept of a strong, civilian military leader.

Oh yes they do. That's why they want him gone. He will frustrate their plans to turn this country into a bunch of libwimps ruled by the likes of COFFEE ANON!

When you have Jesus on your side, you don't have to sweat polls, and you can readily support your friends who have done so well. God love both of them.

But not everything that happens on this Earth is God's will--a lot of dreadful things happen here, for as Jesus told us, this is the kingdom of the Devil for the time being. So even if Jesus is on Bush's side, which He unquestionably is, that doesn't guarantee a political victory in November. I pray daily that he will have the victory, but it's far from a certainty.

My heart sings with joy and jubilation this Memorial Day! In my lifetime I have never been prouder of our President, our Secretary of Defense, the President's Cabinet and all our men and women serving in the United States of America's Military all over the world.

God Bless America and guide Her through the upcoming months.

It was. It's been a great weekend. The standing ovation and rousing welcome for Bush at the dedication of the WW11 memorial, and now the enthusiasm for Rummy.

I think you're right that the public is more than sick and tired of this "piling on".

Abu Garaib, Abu Sharaib.

Wars are enourmous endeavors and bring out all human attributes. As anyone who has seen or read Band of Brothers knows, humanity has it's share of drunks and criminals and murderers. But we still honor the heroism that existed, too. I hope this young generation will be served likewise. I've underestimated them.

Thanks for the photos but the cutlines are typical Reuters. How about:

"U.S. President George W. Bush joins in a standing ovation for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld at Monday's Memorial Day observation at Arlington National Cemetery."

The meaning of Rumsfeld's gesture needs to be put into correct context.

I was watching O'Reilly last week when he had Ann Coulter on. When AC mentioned that the war was going splendidly, BO cut in and said that his military analysts say otherwise and than made a cut at Rummy, saying the field commanders do not like him. I thought at the moment, huh?!?!? It seems whenever he goes out in the field, he gets enourmous applause, as yesterday proved. What is it with BO? You do not go on his show, so he slams you! What an idiot!

I stopped watching O'Reilly some time ago. I find him to be annoying.

Thank you for your service to our country!!
