I saw the flashes. At first I thought it was a thunderstorm in the distance, but the sky was clear. Even checked the sky with night vision equipment. Nothing on the radars from NOAA.
The report followed the flash by over three minutes - and it was HUGE. (I live west of Eatonville.) If I hadn't seen the flash, I'd have thought a small earthquake had happened from the sound. A long, deep rumble.

"Flashes, booms reported over Western Washington" We had the same thing around here about 7:00am this morning, we call'em thunderstorms.

Nothing personal, but I wish somebody would modify the title to say Washington State or remove this from breaking news. I almost had a heart attack when I looked at the Breaking News Sidebar. I thought we under attack.

Maybe there is something to all the recent tin foil posts about the earth passing through the debris field of comet Bradfield?

Cooool as I posted on our state of Oregon board it's the top news story.
Laughing at all the local callers and their "version" of the huge falling star.
They showed a clip from a security camara and boy it did light up the sky.
One guy said the birds woke up and flew out of the trees. Psyche the birds out. Sunrise at 2:30 AM.
KV is having pain related problems and I tried my best to refocus him by putting on the tin foil claiming Alians lil Green guys! N. Korea INCOMING!
He wasn't amused.
I know if not already a fellow Freeper will get the NASA Pics up.
I would love to have a piece of space rock.

WOW! I just saw the local news and they are running footage from security cams, where the night really did turn to day-bright for just a second.
(not posted on their website yet, but may later komo news)
I wish I had seen it! Phooey.

So that's what happened. Wife came back downstairs from going the bathroom and asked if I had turned the lights on and off. After saying no two or three times I heard a rumbling noise that lasted about 10 seconds or more. It sounded like someone was dragging a shopping cart across our roof.
I said, "WTF was that", unlocked the gun safe and just waited for the dog to bark. He didn't but the neighbor's dog, who lives outside, woofed about 10 times.
I took a look out the windows and didn't see anything so I went back to bed.

Something woke me up at that time; I heard a loud boom and felt a shudder, as if someone had slammed the garage door. I got up and looked out the window to the south, but didn't see anything. I live just north of Seattle, in Shoreline.
