All the Kerry voters are in St. Louis and Kansas City.

Bush beat Gore by 4% in Missouri during the 2000 election. Gore was from a southern state that borders Missouri and had the advantage of running as a semi-incumbent.

Kerry is a Massachusetts liberal. The margin of victory for Bush in 2004 will be much higher. Bank it.

Right now, I'm working my heart out every day campaigning for Bush in the Show-Me-State.

Will probably cause Dales to downgrade to Slight Advantage for Bush.

Other than that... Yawn.

#9 should be "led."

3 things that will draw voters in Missouri this fall?

1.Partial birth abortion issue. People know where both Parties stand on this. Ruling by 9th Circus Court has issue back in the news. Right where Dims do not want it.

2.Gay marriage-even if it is on August ballot. This will "fire-up" voters, and clearly identify which Party represents what.

3)AW Ban "sunsets." Assuming it does-on Sept. 13. Voters here know, again, which Party represents what.

Rasmussen's state polls have been running +4 for Kerry (meaning if you add 4 for Bush you get results in line with the other polls). The other Missouri poll where Bush was ahead by 7 was an outlier (for Rasmussen -- one would have expected it to show Bush ahead by 1, as this one does).

IOW, Bush +1 translates to Bush +5, which is right at what one would expect.

Similarly, the latest reliable Oregon poll showed Bush ahead by 5. Rasmussen has Bush ahead by 1, so that also agrees (with the adjustment).

Also the last reliable Ohio poll has Bush ahead by 6. Rasmussen has Bush +2. So once again it adds up.

Simply add 4 to Rasmussen and you'll get a good estimate.
