Right. Presumably, Distaso is making a note of it, then, at the end of the trial, when there is no possibility of a witness changing his/her story at the behest of the defense, THEN it will be time for Distaso to tell the incident as he and the prosecution see it.
My guess is that it will be argued as: "Yes, there's the same shirt Amy saw Laci wearing, the last time Laci was reliably seen alive. It's there in this photo, hanging out of the Petersons' clothes hamper. Perhaps one of the last actions Laci did before she died was to put that shirt where you see it in the photo. But someone noticed it was there, and took a picture of it. And Scott realized that someone had seen that shirt there, so he took it and wadded it up and quickly stuck it in the drawer, out of sight. Why? Was he afraid that the presence of that shirt in the hamper might contradict his fabrication that Laci was wearing a white shirt the day he says someone else kidnapped her? Was he afraid that the presence of this shirt in dirty laundry would tell us that Laci really met her death at home--not out in the park or on the street somewhere?"
A man who's wife is "missing", I would think would have saw to it that the laundry was done and have his lovely wife's clothing clean and hanging in the closet when she returned home. That's a long time to let the dirty laundry go! It being wadded up and stuffed in the drawer is just another bizzare that Snott WOULD do along with all of his other behavior. Trying to sell her car, and the home with the furniture in it!
I know the feeling. Hubby finally re-connected Direct TV, and he watches more than I do... I have weaned myself off tv alot.... Only really 'want to hear, got to see' stuff would I sit down to the boob tube! ;o)
added.....
logical... Yeah, Geragos does give people a run for the money to sharpen skills and become better than he..... ;o)
My husband is a laundry freak. He does it all. However, if I was missing I don't think he would think to do it at all. Laundry would be the last thing on his mind. Remember Scotty was out putting up flyers and such. I don't find the fact that he let the laundry go bizarre at all given the fact that most men don't do the laundry.
I agree that he was "busy"(and he did quite a bit of golfing during that time), but were talking about 2 months here...and for the blouse to go from the hamper to wadded up and stuffed in a drawer is strange to me.
Agreed Jackie. I am convinced that the Prosecution has kept some "things" ABSOLUTELY QUIET. Rick Distaso was a former Military Prosecutor, he's a disciplined man.
yeah he supposedly washed his fishing clothes and nothing else.!! EVERYTHING this man did was unusual.
...the park -- actually, this street corner right here, I think that's Scenic and Coffee. That won't mean anything to you, but it will come into perspective later. And then the whole park is five miles long. It goes all the way down here, it goes all the way downtown. And Scott Peterson -- Scott Peterson's home is right here. ...
Many thanks for the ping, rb! I look for this case to be a back and forth, back and forth in the media for months! Each day we'll get a report that says, "well, this was a good day for the prosecution"; the next day, we'll hear "what a good day for the defense". Maybe we should all just sleep through it.
The rules are a little stiff but they tell you upfront.
Any connection to my wife's bear thing?
She says if there's anything to reincarnation, she wants to come back as a bear. Says, "they sleep all the way through the da@#ned winter and wake up skinny!".
Who the he!! is McKenzie?
