(Vanity) Need responses to counter fellow union workers support of Kerry

Posted on 06/04/2004 7:55:41 AM PDT by Rabid Dog

I was just sent this e-mail from a friend and to be honest my brain isn't working real well today. I'm hoping that some freepers can help out here.

My union, Communication Workers of America, is really heavily in support of Kerry, and following labor tradition to push for Democrats. I have tried to point out that Kerry hasn't had a real job since, well, I'm not sure he ever had a "real" job. Living off rich wives and the public payroll isn't a real job. Plus, I have noted that the Dems have done nothing to keep jobs in America for Americans. They have done alot of tax and spend for social programs for those who DON'T work for a living like I do.

What are some good responses to the pro-Kerry folks I work with?? Things I might not think about would be perfect...

I don't know if I can help you. Kerry lately has been making a six-figure income off the taxpayer without having to show up for work. That seems like a union member's ultimate dream to me.

Show him pictures of Ground Zero on 9-11 and ask him how he thinks a Kerry Administration would have reacted.

Point out that the police union in Boston will be picketing Kerry's convention, maybe.

I'm not sure how successful these will be-personally I doubt that you'll convince many people, your union is kind of like SAG/AFTRA or SEIU, there's not much hope there-but I guess you could give them a try:

1. Union membership declined to its lowest point-percentage wise-of the postwar era during the Clinton Administration.

2. Kerry's claims to the effect that he'll prevent more outsourcing of U.S. jobs are just static; there's nothing much he can do stop this trend. Furthermore, when he was a United States senator he actually supported legislation that sent those jobs at Verizon, inter alios, to countries like India.

and finally, if neither of those approaches are successful, try this one on for size,

3. John Kerry is siding with the fat-cat democrats in his home state, over the concerns of hardworking union members. If he's so pro-union, why won't he be manning the picket lines in Boston?

I hope my comments were of some value to you.

I use the Social Security issue to show what a rat Kerry is. He voted against the Lock Box:

Here's the voting record

I've got some more information concerning the issue on my website

Check it out and pass it along.

The best way to fight ideas is with better ideas, so your best first response might be a quiet reading of "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand

Only idiots would vote for a traitor.

My favorite post for DUmmies and trolls.

"I’m an internationalist. I’d like to see our troops dispersed through [sic] the world
only at the directive of the United Nations."
Hanoi John Kerry, The Harvard Crimson, 1970

HANOI KERRY
has a Campaign Platform
Just like the old days!

"It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle.
We lost the war at home and at home John Kerry was the field general"

- Bob Elder, Swift Boat Veteran For Truth

"I do not believe John Kerry is fit to be commander in chief of the U.S. armed forces,"
said retired Rear Adm. Roy Hoffmann, chairman of the organization.
"This is not a political issue. It is a matter of honesty."

I was there the same time Hanoi Kerry was.
I served on the destroyer USS Corry DD-817 which supplied PCF's and PBR's
and gave gunfire support in North AND South Viet Nam.
My ship may have even supplied Hanoi Kerry's boat.
I VOW I will do everything I LEGALLY can
to keep this traitor from being elected.

The book that Kerry
wishes would just go away.
HanoiJohnKerry.com is a blog with a primary purpose. That purpose is to counter the preposterous claims of Sen. John Forbes Kerry (D-MA) that he has any legitimate claim to any sort of "brotherhood" among combat veterans of the War in Vietnam.

While it is generally supposed that his service as a Naval officer on a "Swift Boat" in that theater was adequate and honorable, there is much to question regarding his readiness to allow the accolade "war hero" to be applied to him.

Likewise, it is not at all uncommon for more senior Naval officers to raise an eyebrow at the swiftness and relative comfort by which Lt. JG Kerry attained those medals, and who is available to vouch for the efficacy of his being awarded them (since, as boat commander, it would be his own task to make recommendation for awards for all personnel, including himself, on the Swift Boat).

But most egregious was his conduct, words and associations upon his early-out (from SEA) return to the USA and discharge from the US Navy. His leadership role with the radical pro-Communist (inaccurate to deem this group "anti-war") group called "Vietnam Veterans Against the [Vietnam] War" (hereafter VVAW).

It was while climbing the social and political ladder of the pro-Soviet Left as a principle of VVAW that John Kerry found his political soul-mate in Hanoi Jane Fonda. Granted, these politically formative years for Kerry were prior to the more outlandish acts of Fonda that earned her that name, but it is easily documentable that Fonda did not under go any radical transformation in belief or character from the time she and Kerry were working the same side of the street to the time she traveled to Hanoi, NVN and entered US history as the most overt traitor to ever NOT be charged, tried and executed.

John Kerry went to his own overt extremes to demonstrate that, politically, socially and in lowness of character, there wasn't a nickel's worth of difference between he and Fonda. Thus, in the spirit of fairness and accuracy, we are reasonably certain that he will be agreeably flattered by calling him Hanoi John Kerry.

Here, testifying before the Fulbright Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is where John Kerry, spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War, cemented his position and moniker as "Hanoi John" Kerry. This was the occasion where US troops still in the field in Vietnam learned from one of their FORMER brothers-in-arms that they were heinous murderers and war criminals. HJK would now like to call on them for support in his bid to be the new Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. Perhaps the most preposterous hypocrisy of all.

This links to a Kerry speech where he decries the Bush tax cut.
Compare his dire predictions to the current econimic boom we are in.

1. John Kerry hasn't worked for a living(at least since the 70's) outside of a government job.

2. He voted for NAFTA/GATT/MFN for China and every pro-outsourcing bill ever passed. He also makes it harder for companies to be competitive here in the US with tax increases.

Passive resistance. Let sleeping rabid dogs(Dims)lie. Why spend the effort to convert them or engage in their silly arguments?

Become one of the silent thinking majority and actively search out those who have a brain. Make sure they are registered, and can get to the polls and vote in November. Put the screaming Libs to sleep. The Flipper is doing a great job in that area,so why would you want to stir the pot. Identify the savable and work on them. Put the sinners to sleep. Use humor and riddicule(Libs hate that) to joke about their extremism.

Kerry's record with Labor Special interest groups is not that great.....among his labor ratings:

Labor

40% on votes that the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers considered important in 2002.

0% on votes that the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers considered important in 2002.

43% on votes that the United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers considered important in 2002.

50% on votes that The Teamsters considered important in 2000.

Unions are parasites on the people. Like no company pays any taxes they pass ALL taxes on to the customers who pay their OWN personal taxes and the companies taxes too. Just so Unions add a parasitical influence on "the people" by making the companies(customers) they work for, pass any addional costs added by dealing with a Union on to the people just the same way.. The people who buy from "the company" ultimately PAY ALL costs of government and ALL costs of doing business. Unions add more costs to doing business as gov't taxes do.. ALL added to the "companies" priceing structure that the consumer(the people) pays. Thereby making Union members themselves parasites not just the Union leaders.

UNIONS are parasites on the economy, as is government through taxes. SO, if the economy revives when taxes are lowered (and it does) so will the economy be better off if unions are not encouraged by gov't(right to work) and activily undermined by business enties by various means including inter national out sourceing (also, bad for the economy).

Less taxes and less Union influence are good for the people but bad for politicians and Union thuggs, and other PARASITES on any economy..

So, that means you, Dog, are a parasite on the economy, the people, and are just another "TAX" your Unions customers pay. Which is translated to higher prices for ME. Have a nice day OR NOT...

Kerry has a job? I wonder why he never shows up for work? It's been about a year since he last voted on the Senate floor. I wish I had a job (and pay) like John-boy.
