PRESIDENT REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY DETAILS FOR 6/7 and 6/8

PRESIDENT REAGAN TO LIE IN REPOSE AT THE RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

June 7, 2004

WHAT: As part of the official State events, President Ronald Wilson Reagan will lie in repose at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library beginning at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 7th through 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8th. NO PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE REAGAN LIBRARY. If you wish to pay your respects to President Reagan, transportation will be provided for the public at Moorpark Community College, located at 7075 Campus Road in Moorpark, California (map). Shuttles will run continuously to the Reagan Library beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. Parking at Moorpark Community College will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7th.

Because security will be heightened at the Library during this time, no large bags or cameras will be permitted and all bags will be inspected. Gifts and flowers will only be accepted at Moorpark Community College.

Access to areas immediately surrounding the Library will be restricted to residential traffic only.

The Reagan Library will re-open to the public on Sunday, June 13, 2004. More details on Library hours will be released soon.

Out of respect to President Reagan, Moorpark College will be closed Monday, June 7th and Tuesday, June 8th for all faculty and staff in order to support the general public parking at the College.

No kidding... I was hoping he would "lie in state" in Washington.

But that's just selfishness on my part.

Moorpark Community College? That's miles away, and not even in Simi Valley! They have a huge parking lot at the library. Couldn't they make it more inconvient for Simi residents, and have parking in the San Fernando Valley? I ain't driving all the way to Moorpark, I'll walk. I've got a sneaking suspicion that idiot Tom Ridge, and homeland insecurity have something to do with this.
