California Freepers, Here Are the Plans for Attending Reagan's Repose on Monday June 7, 2004

The many facets of President Ronald Wilson Reagan

The Repose at the Reagan Library will start at 12:00 noon on Monday the 7th, and continue until Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
The public will not be allowed to drive to the Reagan Library.  They are being asked to park at the Moorepark Community College,
where they will be able to board a bus for the final leg of the journey to the Reagan Library.

We have decided to attempt to rent a large camper, failing that to set up a shaded reception area at the Moorepark
Community College parking lot.  Freepers will be able to come together there to reflect on events, and travel
together to the Reagan Library.

We would like to encourage folks to bring chips or other semi-non-perishable finger foods, and drinks to this meeting place.
The idea is to organize a minimalist pot luck effort.

Bob Johnson and Liz will be manning the reception area from around 11:00 a.m. on Monday the 7th until some time in the evening.
Bob is renting the camper for Monday.  I would like to encourage folks that attend to chip in whatever you feel that you can,
to help defray the cost of our reception area.

Please visit the Reagan Library dot com to access maps to the Reagan Library and Moorepark Community College.
It appears the Moorepark Community College may have experienced a name change in the last few years,
from the Lutherin College, but I can't verify that.

I would like to encourage folks to network from here if you'd like to meet up with other Freepers at the reception area.

I hope to see a number of you on Monday afternoon.  I'll be arriving around 1:00 p.m., and will stay throughout the evening.

Thank you Ambrose. I contacted the moderator to alter my error. Could have sworn Friday was the 5th. Oh well.

Great picture. What does the sign on the desk say? As far as I can make out it says "It CAN Be Done."

You mentioned earlier about sending in a contribution to off-set the cost of the RV. Where should that be sent?

Very simple. Some of us will arrive early tomorrow either with an RV or some Easy-Up cabanas and construct a reception area. We will be there all day and part of the evening.

If you plan on attending the viewing, you can use this weigh station to meet and talk with FReepers then pair up with others and go to the library in a larger group with friends. It is requested that people bring some munchies, beverages, beach chairs and maybe throw a few bucks into the jar to help pay for the RV, if we can rent one.

You may also bring posters, flowers, pictures, etc to adorn the area. If you come at night, a candle might be advisable.

If you can make it on Monday, you can just give it to Bobj. We don't want to burden anyone. If folks can help out a little, that would be nice.
