U.S. Charges Australian Linked to al-Qaida

WASHINGTON - An Australian held at the Navy's prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, will face a military tribunal for allegedly training and fighting alongside members of al-Qaida in Afghanistan (news - web sites), the Pentagon (news - web sites) announced Thursday.

TVA, Other Agencies To Conduct Nuclear Exercise

TVA and other federal, state and local agencies will conduct a regularly scheduled emergency preparedness exercise for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant on Wednesday, June 23.

The exercise will involve about 1,000 TVA and state of Tennessee employees and emergency responders in Hamilton and Bradley counties. Residents of these counties may see radiological monitoring teams or other responders in action as part of the exercise.

IF EOM were real (I do not believe he is), it seems plausible that he would release nearly the exact same statement more than once (especially if any prior attempt was 'pushed back'). The most interesting aspect, in my mind, is the repeated reference to Al-Adil. I wonder if he is referring to Saef Al-Adil of al Qaida or if he is just referencing the word itself in Arabic (The Just [One]). I am assuming the latter.

I remember thinking that EOM might be credible for a time when his threats seemed to mirror what we were hearing in the news. Looking back, I kind of feel foolish that I fell for it.

When I read that artilce my mind wandered back to this movie:

Wild in the Streets (1968)
