"Simi Tough" WITHOUT A PRAYER (Kerry at Simi)

WITHOUT A PRAYER

According to a John Kerry campaign staffer, the candidate, who made much of his visit to the Reagan Library in Simi, California, on Tuesday afternoon, had to ask aides what behavior they felt would look appropriate. "It was like, 'Should I kneel? Should I greet people in line? Should I say a prayer? What?'"

Kerry ultimately was given VIP access to the area where the former President lay in repose, going beyond the rope line to stand alone with Reagan's coffin. Kerry made much of the making the sign of the cross, then visibly moving his lips in prayer.

Prior to visiting the Reagan Library, Kerry told reporters that he had visited and met with Reagan many times during his time in the White House.

Unfortunately, there is little evidence of that at the library, where records show that Kerry never privately met with Reagan, and the only time spent with the Gipper was when Kerry visited the White House as part of a Democratic Senate delegation.

"It's just fiction that Kerry had any kind of relationship with Reagan," says a former Reagan staffer. "That he's attempting to create something that wasn't there or never happened is embarrassing. Senator Kerry should be ashamed."

I never heard one cry from the "media" that Kerry was politicizing Reagan's death. I'm sure the same won't be the same of President Bush's eulogy tomorrow.

He has no shame. I thought the Clintons were shameless, but they pale in comparison to this t**d.

That seems to be the story of his life.

His speechwriters must have told him to bite his lip!

Honestly, I don't care that he went. People would also be complaining if he didn't, IMO. But the lip biting was so faux Clinton!

"Should I greet people in line?"

That's a bizarrely hilarious picture.

I am tempted to send this along to Tom Brokaw or Tim Russert and ask them politely to look into this - Kerry made such a big deal of saying how NICE Presidents Reagan and Bush41 were to him, that he met with them MORE than with Bush43, trying to dis W.

How can these "journalists" stomach what they are doing?

Simply disgusting. "I don't know jacksh*t about protocol, decency, good manners, or patriotism, but I want to be your president".

Should the hanging chads resurface, and God forbid he is our next president, someone will have to hold his sorry ass by the hand and remind him to say please and thank you.

You got it! It will be all over the papers tomorrow.

You should be watching PBS, showing a Reagan special that brings up all the Nuclear arms freeze protests. Mike "not in our name" Farrell was in those old protests....just like the anti-Bush protests!

I hope all who watch see how wrong Farrell and the rest were, and see that Reagan was RIGHT! He did the right thing, and so did Bush. Kerry is right in there with Farrell and the rest of the hollywood idiots. This just points out that we should not listen to them now; because if we had listened to them then, the soviet union never would have fallen....the wall would still be up in Berlin!

They were wrong then, and they are wrong now!

No, he said at the Reagan Library
that he had met with President Reagan
MORE than President Bush.

It was a flat out lie.

The problem is you make to much sense... I give up trying to reason with those idiots on the other BBS I belong to.. they have a mental disease... Conspirtorial psychosis. A Marxist view that big bad money is behind all evil in the world... everything.. meanwhile all the guys I argue with make more than 100k+ and I make 40k... and they are telling me the rich, which is them, should pay more in taxes...

they are children.

If he was such a devout Catholic as he claims to be ... he wouldn't need to ask his staff what to do

HE SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THE WHAT TO DO
