Posted on 06/10/2004 7:33:15 PM PDT by anonymoussierra

Former President of Poland Lech Walesa gave most sincere respect to President Ronald Wilson Reagan by kneeling and praying for your great president.

I would like to extend my greatest thank you from my husband and me Sara to all of you and to let you know, we in Eastern Europe especially in Poland will not forget Ronald Wilson Reagan.

It was a very moving tribute. We thank you, and especially your husband stationed in Iraq, for your country's friendship and support.

I've been crying all week. The littlest remebrances set me off. That's ok. President Reagan will probably be the greatest president of my lifetime. I'm so lucky to have been able to vote for him and to witness his presidency. I only wish I could have gone to DC to pay my resects.

I've been crying all week.

Me too. Nancy patting and smoothing the flag on the casket yesterday had me in tears like I haven't had since we buried my Grandma.

This was very moving. Poland has become one of our biggest allies and a true friend. It just goes to show how much of a profound impact Ronald Reagan had around the world. God Bless Ronald Reagan and God Bless our Polish friends!

I have shed many a manly tear for the past several days. I have cried more than when I watched Old Yeller (I am not kidding, folks). I start thinking of his speeches and what he did for the world and I start getting misty...like right now.

God bless the brave people of Poland. They know more than anyone else how precious freedom and democracy is.

Reagan knew as well. Thanks to his vision, hundreds of thousands of people are free from tyranny and dictatorship all across Europe and beyond.

I know what you mean. My tough old combat veteran hubby cried as he was saluting after he lowered our flags to half-staff on Saturday, and yesterday when VP Cheney concluded his remarks.

Don't get me started on the caisson.

Yes, may the good Lord bless you in Poland and all the former Soviet slave bloc countries.

The good Lord gave us a seventy year old former actor the strength and grace and vision to help free millions from tyranny and oppression.

Friends in Poland: I pray that your country remains free of more totalitarian rule in the E.U.

It could be said that Walesa and Reagan are both men of great vision and great faith. Both accomplished great victories over the Soviet totalitarian system, and their victories were complimentary. Both showed great courage, great skill at negotiation, and both did not bluff.

Poland now has risen to command the respect of all nations that it always should have had. Considerable credit for this goes to Lech Walesa, and the rest to the Polish people who have always fought corageously for their country. I am grateful that some of these Polish patriots have joined the coalition of the willing to assist us in our mutual fight of the war on terrorism.

Thank you Poland, Navy Patriot

The History Channel is airing interviews with friends and family of Reagan. It was moving to see the interview with Nancy (G_d bless and keep her).

My memory is fuzzy right now. Is Lech Walesa the guy who lead the worker strikes in Poland?

Lech Walesa is a courageous man and a devout Christian. His tribute and prayer are sincere. May God bless him and the Polish people - whose national anthem, "Poland has not perished yet," signifies steadfastness in the face of adversity.

Incidentally, the note under the picture is wrong. He was President, not Prime Minister, of Poland.
