When I saw him introducing Lurch, it was the first thing that popped in my mind!

Damn the media and their invasive clicking cameras.
And on and on and on and on and on they clicked. It was too awful. Thoughtless. Tasteless. Typical.

I would be upset if I heard Jennings and all imply (or say outright) that the crowds were somehow staged. No one told me to attend - and it's a sure bet that no one else was instructed to go there. The media hacks just can't accept that they were wrong, and that not everyone hated Reagan the way they did.

The former president mustered up some strength and said very weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves ... and that's how I want to go."

Woooohoooo!!! Good one :-D

True. I think that was the only thing this entire week that wasn't incredibly moving. It's a shame.

But on complete opposite side of the spectrum, what about that Major General Jackman?

Wow. He was awesome with Nancy this entire week. I don't even have the words to describe how I felt about his complete devotion to her.

When he started showing his emotions, I lost mine again.

I will remember him for a very long time.

Just let the anger slip out of your body through the end of your fingertips. It's not worth it.

Actually, I not angry. I was just a little sad to hear something like that. It really isn't worth being angry over.

Other than that, the whole week was beautiful. From the History channel show to the RR movie I watched with my son last night (Desperate Journey), it's been emotional. And it's been wonderful to see him again, so to speak.

It really was beautiful. I've never seen that much ornamentation on a casket before--so I do appreciate the history. Most of the ones I've seen had a shiny finish.

Who knows. Maybe that sort of affection is something he remembers fondly from childhood.

He was a jerk by saying what he did about the "mandate" but he is still a boy who lost his daddy.

It was a strange story to tell though.

Well, the Masterpiece has a nice finish. It's solid African mahogany with a red velvet interior.

Retail on that casket is $25,000.

Mrs. Jackman is going to have a few women envious of having such a husband.

He sure did -- I didn't see him the first time I watched because I was on Fox. The 2nd time I had on C-SPAN and they showed the people in the Cathedral as they were coming in. There was Kerry being backslapped by Clinton as he introduced him to Brian Mulroney.

Also, the Reagans were close friends with Mike Wallace and family, so Chris knew them long before their days in Washington.

Alotta nerve Kerry has showing up. They should've saved his seat for someone who actually cares. I sure hope Teresa wasn't there.
