Your exactly right but some of them may never see themselves as most everyone else does.
Look at blogs inhabited by ex-Salon types, like the one run by the Atlantic monthly. Talk about paranoia city!
Reagan had a boundless faith in the American people. This man has no faith in anything other than his deluded image of a country who hated Ronald Reagan as much as he does. He must feel terribly lonely right now.
These people are so full of hatred where Reagan realized that hatred for another person is just a cancer that destroys your own soul.
Its not beyond belief.
See my tagline. Truer words have never been spoken.
The Democrat base falls under vile, clueless or frighteningly stupid.
These creatures of the leftmost fringe wastelands display the kind of reptilian hatred that they normally reserve for themselves. It must go that to be an ideological leftist, you must strive to impress the other lefties with your complete lack of a soul, to be so condescending, so vile, so contrary to everything you pretend to espouse, that you shock even the jaded creeps you hang out with. These people, with a few puzzling exceptions, hate Reagan and Bush because they hate America, Americans, and all it stands for, except that 6 figure plus salary they pull down at NYT or the Washington Post. If they hate us all so much, they can leave... NOW.
Allen (or Alan) Comes just spent the last two evenings on Fox Radio whining that Clinton (X-42) didn't get to speak.
It surely challenges any decent mind. Did anyone read the 100 proof, vitriol by Christoher Hitchens?
His intellect is definitely getting the worst of him. . .while alcohol it seems; has claimed 'his best'. . .
The criticisms offered by these people defy the rationale; are intellectually vacant; rooted in the lies of the Left; and now have a life of their own; and so they are difficult to deconstruct. . .or even bring truth to the matter.
These people - kindly put - need something that matches the morbid level they come from.
I just don't know; maybe cloves of garlic; it worked 'then'; might work now.
My worthless brother-in-law (If you know him, he probably owes you money) quit work on 1981.
The reason? He would not pay taxes to Reagan! He has not worked since and has found out how to live off of the public tit. Needless to say, he votes Democratic.
After 9-11 he wrapped himself in the American flag and declared "By God, no one better burn a flag around me or I will beat the hell out of them!"
Now the two-face is Kerry's man.
I'm just glad he is 1000 miles from me, and at times I feel that's too close!
They claim that Pres. Reagan killed them by not funding aids research from the beginning, but they slit their own throats with their unceasing destructive behavior.
Just like now.
This is not so much beyond belief.
These reactionist hatemongers (wait...these are the preachers of "tolerance", right?) draw their life's breath from pure emotion...and causing the same.
No need for "factual basis" to found any of their angry spewage. No respect for the needs of others. It's all about the feelings. They feel good spreading hate. They enjoy causing anger and rage. They thrill at trying to outdo each other in the quest to be the most outrageous.
They will dance on the graves of anyone. Reverence, respect, and honor are so far beyond them as to become nigh invisible.
I prefer the comments of Maggie Thatcher "he freed the slaves of communism". Let the world remember him for that.
Big deal, liberals - I've never heard of any of you except Breslin and Hitchens.
Hitchens is not a 'nobody' - I thought he did an admirable job of roasting Bill Clinton from the left ("Noone Left To Lie To"); his coming unglued over Reagan's death tells me how powerful Reagan's legacy is...and what a threat it is to left-wingers everywhere.
Really, I don't think for a moment that his doze was genuine. . . He was sending a message; if he is not important enough to speak; then this is not important enough for him to be awake.
Also, think he called on his usual fraudulent self to 'feign' for the camera; so as to spare himself the imposition of a momentary public humiliation imposed upon him by President Bush as he was referencing the decency Ronald Reagan brought to the oval office.
Clinton had few options to hide; so he chose the easiest - a childish maneuver - eyes closed - 'if you can't see me; I can't see you' - response.
By feigning a 'sleeping Clinton'; he saved himself from having to add the 'I can't hear you' - thumb-in-the-ears as well; but I bet he wanted to.
Did anyone notice as well; how he shared his 'love of music' with us; by smiling/bobbing his head to the sacred - and solemn music? He looked more than inappropriate; bobbing to a beat; that was not quite there.
Those who don't bow to greatness diminish themselves...
my father (a Democrat) came up with "You know, this is the first time Bill and Hillary have slept together in years!"
Bill and Hillary have to realize, from today's ceremony, that History will not deal so kindly with them...
Marked to read again later...
These are the same people who will be sitting in the back pew with Monica (with her blue dress on), when Bill finally passes on. They will write great stories how Bill did this and Bill was the greatest thing since sliced cake. And we will sit there...thinking of Bill and Monica...and try not to laugh.
You hit the nail on the head. Ever notice how, for some people, the transition to adult just does not happen and the mental blocks in their head prety much insure it will not happen?
The classic case is Ted Rall. He was kicked out of Columbia for both academic and disciplinary reasons. For some people, that sort of thing can be a blessing in the long run. It's a wake up call that forces maturity in the long run. But Ted just got angry.
Unfortunately for him, he found a market for his anger, so now, that's pretty much all he has. The only way he can grow up is to lose the anger. But if he lost the anger, he'd lose the one reason his cartoon and column exists. He would thus lose his fame and his entire identity. He won't be able to do that, barring some huge crisis in his life.
Maybe they'll get themselves between the eyes this time. Let 'em rant. The more hateful they are, the more people will reject them and their doctrines of subversion and perversion.
