Love of Country, Love of a Passing President, "Old Glory" seen so much this past week. "Old Glory" seen waving proudly on the Banks of Normandy. You almost want to burst with Pride, to know so many share the "love of Country". Reagan Loved his country, but everyone who lined up along the routes to see his Funeral Procession, waving the American Flag, felt that same love.

Pride in our Military, as they were such an important part of the Reagan Funeral, they once again showed us how wonderful, and strong they are. Love of Country with each step they took, and with each crisp salute.

Cheryl Shrader from Boise, Idaho, cries as her father, Curt Barbee, holds up a paper American flag on the tarmac at Gowen Field in Boise as a chartered plane taking Shrader's husband, Spc. Don Shrader, and other Idaho Guardsmen from the 116th Cavalry Brigade to Texas for specialized training before being deployed to Iraq

An American flag is seen through a German bunker at Pointe du Hoc in Normandy, France on Sunday, June 6, 2004. The point, which sits between Utah and Omaha beaches, was taken by U.S. army rangers who scaled the steep cliffs using special climbing equipment on D-Day. The razor wire was installed to keep people off of the eroding coast line.

Re post #4. Is that a 48 star flag?

In either 1988 or 1992, the Republican National Convention came first and the theme colors were red, white, and blue. American flags were ubiquitous.

Then came the Democrat convention. The colors were earth tones and on the first day some news anchor mentioned in passing that there weren't any American flags to be seen anywhere.

The Democrats hated America so much, that instead of rushing out to buy flags, they, opted instead to accuse the Republicans of trying to exploit the flag for political purposes. Instead of waving flags they waved placards that said "Republicans don't own the American flag." (same thing they once did with religion when instead of adding prayers to their convention they spouted the slogan "God is not a Republican.)

"Pride in our Military, as they were such an important part of the Reagan Funeral, they once again showed us how wonderful, and strong they are."

They did us all proud.

"God is not a Republican"

GOP = God's Own Party, IMHO.

Flame away.

Thanks for an excellent post.

This year, I am not going to let the Democrats tell ME what the debate is about. I am going to tell THEM it's about Ronald Reagan's political legacy, which President George Bush clearly bears.

And I am going to tell THEM that they are unpatriotic for their insistence on international law.

And I am going to tell THEM that they are unAmerican for their rejection of JudeoChristian culture that formed our nation.

;-D

It's wonderful that the whole world got to see our beautiful American flag and to see how proud we are of Old Glory and our country.

Our awesome military showed their precision and discipline.

The whole week was truly fabulous and showed the true unity of our country.

God Bless America!

After yesterday's service in the Cathedral, there can be no doubt that even if God isn't a Republican, he is definitely a right leaning independent.
