Welcome! Hope to see you here often. Warning: the dose is very addictive. But also very fun and informative.

LOL, you have been here a long time. That cute little gif -I tried it a few weeks ago, and it didn't work. I'm computer challenged, so I don't know why. (sigh....)

Someone had a question about General Galen Jackson. I read on FR he is a grad of Univ of Nebraska, ROTC; is the commander of the Military District of Washington. He was so wonderful to Nancy; what an impressive man.

North Africa--cool! I've always wanted to go there on a safari. A safari in an air conditioned jeep, where they set up your tents and cook your food every night . . . but a safari nevertheless!

What do you remember about it?

Very interesting, Seven. Maggie was determined to be ready and appropriately dressed. What a good friend she was to Ronald Reagan!

I agree. Black is traditional mourning but there's nothing wrong with looking past the mourning period to the reunion and resurrection.

I like the freedom from obligatory black that we are experiencing now in the E.C. (and of course the senior Bush's are E.C.)

Pattie wrote a really touching piece..I think for Time, but not sure...about how she felt left out for a while and so on.

I thought Ron did a credible job at the funeral with his talk. Frankly I was surprised. I agreed with some who felt that his remarks about his father's faith were intended as a dig at Dubya, but maybe I am paranoid.

Wait--I know I'm paranoid. My antenna are totally out for any slam against my Prez.

You all would be most welcome at my home, although I have missed the planning of this meeting. LOL!

If I am the halfway point for everyone, then you are most welcome here.

It would give me a reason to clean my house, after all! HA!
