That day, the timing, the crowds, and so on, was just amazing. I could not believe Nancy had the strength to walk up those steps of AF1 yet again.

And yes, God was in the timing. They said several times while the cars were going from the airport to the library, that things were behind schedule. So having it end as it did, God's hand was certainly there (like we didn't know that in the first place!)

There was a half-hearted comment by a FReeper, who said heh felt the sun "slowing down just a bit" for everyone to pay their respects.

I kinda have to agree, considering they were "officially" 45 minutes late getting to Simi Valley. (My personal thought: The hedge time was originally built in.)

Maybe President Reagan wanted one last Hollywood Entrance: Fashionably late. 8-)
