Why the Saudis hate Americans and Jews
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ^ | Monday, June 14, 2004 | Joel Mowbray

Directly on the heels of news that the House of Saud has decided to crack down on one of its most notorious "charities" comes news that a freshly released poll shows that nearly half of Saudis support the views and propaganda of Osama bin Laden.

Which means that even if the Saudi government does finally do something about the petrodollar pipeline that feeds Islamic terrorists -- because this time they "really mean it" -- Saudi cash will still be responsible for most terrorism around the world.

Just look at the survey.

Hence the resentment and hatred for those they depend on.

The old "joke", "No good turn goes unpunished", proves itself time after time. If you don't believe it, lend your borther-in-law some money.

I would love to see just how the Saudis would feel if America pulled the "oil plug" on their country? Of course, until we start WORKING towards that goal, it won't ever happen...DRILL ANWR NOW!

I agree that it would be great to not buy from the Saudis, but it can never happen, even if we drilled ANWR. We would have to both drill ANWR and cut consumption drastically.

It's the education, stupid.

Well, partially. There is a large element of envy involved as well. Things are not going well in the Gulf and aside from Qatar, Oman, the UAE and perhaps Bahrain the future does not look bright.

These people have a serious screw loose. They may like Bush country Americans and get on with them famously, but when the axe falls their first allegiance is to Allah.

"I'm sorry to have to kill you, but Inshallah."

Very true. They'll play along until....

We do have a choice, we can do it now or we can do it later
when time is short and we have NO choice.

If it was up to me, we'd be deep drilling the gulf and offshore florida today, but oooooo wouldn't want to upset the touristas! They'd rather go down to the mall and get
blown up than have to look at a drill rig so small on the
horizon you can't hardly see it.

Grrrrrr.

This whole business of democratizing the Mid-East won't work. Even the "free" societies hate us. Better to nuke them now while we can, and let God start over.

At least the truth is beginning to seep out. Joel Mowbry is to be commended for his bravery.

It's the Saudis stupid. And it's our State Department for for their complicity with a wink and a nod. How could they not know?

In the 40s, The newly consolidated Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was pretty much as it had been, a dusty backwater of the Ottoman empire, and home to very few people.

What the oil company and other, mostly American engineers built for them may have been a mistake, because the Saudis have absolutely no appreciation of the work and thought that went into it. The infrastructure provided, and the money, enabled these folks to increase and multiply at a rate beyond the western imagination. It is pretty much all they do: marry their cousins in rapid succession and have 70-to 100 children per family. That, and attend mosques to become fired up in their pathological boredom about the evils of the infidel.

All work in KSA, from garbage and drycleaning, and everything else from the lowest to the highest, is done by imported labor. It is the world's most elaborate welfare scheme, and naturally it is falling apart. Because, as they increase in numbers, the money as vast as it is, just cannot keep up. Attempts to instil some sort of work-incentive cycle are catching on, but too slowly to do any good.

You want an American analogy? Try the worst housing project in the worst slum in America. Here the welfare money buys crack cocaine and drives up bastardy rates. There the oil/welfare drives up the birthrate, too, but instead of crack, they are addicted to virulent hatred of the infidel, to which the idle masses are driven by their mad mullahs.

"Why the Saudis hate Americans and Jews "

A better question might be, "why do we care so much?".

Other than the obvious "oil" angle, and the prospect of more terrorism, why do we worry so much about whether we are touchy-feely with the Saudis?

I've always thought the best way to handle that "dependency" situation is to go all out in developing alternate energy solutions, or (even better) go full blast at ANWR drilling.

"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" is the saying that applies here...oil has given the Saudis power over us, and the rest of the petroleum consuming world. Oil is the new gold, and history teaches us that people, and nations, do some crazy things under the unfluence of gold.

Like one kid giving his "toys" to get another kid to play with him, we've not only paid for our oil dependance in dollars, but in military equipment, infrastructure, and American lives. Of course the Saudis feel "empowered" over us, IT'S HUMAN NATURE.

When Reagan proposed "Star Wars" it scared the hell out of the Soviets and was in no small part, a contribution to the downing of the "wall". I think a similar announcement of an all-out push for alternative fuel and serious consideration to ANWR oil might just bring down the price-per-barrel just a bit.

Space exploration is fine and dandy, but maybe that money should be diverted to finding energy sources at home, before we worry to much about Mars.

It is my humble opinion that the majority of Saudi's depise America because it supports Israel, and they see us as immoral and a threat to their religion. Not only that, America is the only reason the Monarchy is still in power.

The rulers of Saudi Arabia are our allies - because without our support, they would cease to exist. However many members of their government want us gone - thus the conflicted stories of their support/terrorism against us exists.

Better yet - invest in alternative power sources - hydrogen - magnetic - methane - I'm sure there is something else out there we could use without having to depend on them.
