LA Times Caught Fixing Poll(Sampled 38% Dem, 25% Repubs)

TWISTED: LA Times Poll Had Sample With 38% Democrats, 25% Republicans Tue Jun 15 2004 10:13:47 ET

Sen. John Kerry "has taken big lead," according "to an L.A. Times poll."

But the Times poll that showed Kerry "beating Bush by 7 points" has created a controversy over whether the poll's sample accurately reflects the population as whole, ROLL CALL reports on Tuesday.

"Not counting independents, the Times' results were calculated on a sample made up of 38 percent Democrats and 25 percent Republicans -- a huge and unheard-of margin," ROLL CALL claims.

I don't believe anything I read in the LA Times, including the weather report.

This is a bad sign for Kerry. If 38% were dems and 25% were repubs that's a 15 point delta. If Kerry is getting less than 50% of the extras he is toast in a real head to head race.

There's no link from any of the threads on this story that takes me to the source mentioned. What's up?

The LAT just had a huge symposium on "journalist ethics" in which they basically held Fox News up as the paragon of bad journalism. Let's hope Fox reports this over and over and over and...

The Left are just expected to lie, cheat, and steal. That's why no one ever says anything about it when they get caught.

And besides, the media is the left. The fox is guarding the henhouse, so who's there to say anything about it anyways?

Folks,

It's my understanding that there was a typo in the article. The poll's website showed 28, not 38% of Dems were polled.

"I don't believe anything I read in the LA Times, including the weather report."

Your first mistake is reading the LA times. Your second mistake is you committed a mortal sin. To make amends, you must bow down to FR whenever an LA times is in your presence:)
